"We booked this place for a quiet Christmas getaway, and could not have been happier. The host prepared the house with lovely Christmas decorations and had everything clean and ready for us. The property was gorgeous, with plenty of outdoor space for us and our dogs to walk around and enjoy the scenery. Very quiet and secluded. The house itself was incredible. Would not hesitate to come back and bring friends."

"Where to begin? First off the staff, Michelle and Phillip, were awesome. We were getting late on NYE and not only were they okay but Michelle even called to check on us knowing we were driving in late. Upon arrival Phillip made us feel welcome and at home. Showed us a beautiful and very clean room. The in room amenities were well stocked and all clean. The bar downstairs had a very marvelous bourbon selection. Had one of the best old fashioned ive ever had. Do not miss breakfast. At least not here you will not be disappointed. "

"Perfectly located to Grayson Highlands State Park. The VERY steep gravel driveway was expertly maintained and my Ford Escape had no trouble making it up and down. The guests in the lower cabin did block the driveway the first night but kindly moved their truck when asked. Not much area to walk the dog to potty that isn't gravel covered. Cabin was clean/tidy and basic, which is what I was looking for. Signage indicated pets not allowed on furniture which is understandable however, I would have loved to know that information ahead of time because I would have brought a bed and bedding for her since the cabin is INCREDIBLY drafty. Drafty to the point that her water bowl (inside) by the door was beginning to freeze. I ended up closing the bathroom doors and packing pillows at the base of the front door to conserve heat. The draft from the bathroom window and the front door were strong enough to blow the curtains. Brr! But with the heating unit set to 80 and blowing full blast, the bed area stayed warm and cozy. Lovely little spot and would stay again (but probably not in the winter.)"

"So it is a little, in expensive, road side hotel, but the room was very clean, the breakfast was top notch with sausage l, eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, great coffee with a selection of cream flavors, and various bread options s, etc. Bust beat of all was the staff! Met the desk clerk, the cleaning staff, and the breakfast gentleman. Everyone was so friendly, nice, and helpful."

"We always enjoy our stay here. Imani, the front desk clerk, is such a delight to talk with. The mattresses are getting a little saggy, but the historic charm and comfort of the hotel is always on point. We appreciate being able to walk to restaurants and the convenient locations to drive to whatever we need. We were bummed the Swamp Fox closed an hour earlier than advertised, though. "
