The location was just beautiful. All set for Christmas. The hostess greeted us at the door. Our room was really pretty and the bed was comfy. The host served breakfast in the fully decorated dining room. He was very nice. We would stay again.

Nice house decorated beautifully for Christmas. Each room is decorated differently and very tastefully. The fireplaces were so welcoming on a wintery, snowy stay. We were welcomed at the front door and provided information about the accommodations. Snacks and drinks were available for guests in the parlor where our 3 couples visited with each other. A bit more variety for breakfast would have been nice but it was still okay.

It is obvious the innkeeper makes every effort to make the inn a comfortable and as welcoming as possible. The Buffalo Tavern made me feel great about choosing the small inn over an institutional generic national hotel chain.

Highly recommend

Beautiful house with amazing history! We sat on the peaceful front porch for hours. Breakfast was delicious, beds were comfortable, and the hosts were excellent. Very cool experience!

Quaint and comfy

Nice and quiet stay. Good parking area. Breakfast is prix fixe and I would love to have had an option for a biscuit or toasted bread. Breakfast was delicious and of gourmet quality. I noticed that there were no tea bags available on the beverage table, but there was a Keurig with a tea selection.

This was a wonderful place to enjoy the fall leaves and the local hospitality. Breakfast was great and there were snacks and drinks for the evening. The host did a wonderful job. We highly recommend it.

The history of the property and the book detailing where I learned about it. The owners, Paps and Susan are very friendly. The homemade breakfast was treat. Only thing I'd suggest is a motion sensitive walkway to the front door, I fumbled in the dark (gets dark early in November) on the tree roots and other things. Not enough to discourage me from recommending the Buffalo Tavern to other family and friends.

Absolutely amazing!! Will be going back and staying again. There’s not one bad or negative thing I can say. First we were greeted with by our two amazing inn keepers. The inn was absolutely decorated perfect such details & so inviting plus cozy. Hot cocoa bar was the best ever. Secret recipe yummy. Our room was was so beautiful, comfortable and perfect. No detail left undone. Breakfast was amazing and my hats off to the chef as his skills melted on our mouths. I would rate our stay 10 out of 5…if you get a chance do not pass up staying & I promise you won’t regret it.
