"We loved our stay at Reo's Ranch! The house wakes to incredible views of the Alabama Hills and the on-site amenities felt like a high end mountain chateau. The house itself has lots of space and was a wonderful retreat after long days out in the heat, exploring the trails and local outdoor excursions. It had everything we needed, including a fully functional kitchen and good pillows. The hosts were responsive and surprised us with thoughtful messages, encouraging us during a big foot race we were competing in nearby Death Valley. We feel as though we lucked out with the best place in the area and have already recommended it to all our friends! We will surely book again next visit! Thank you!"

"This property is truly special. I’ve never been able to relax the way I did while at Lone East. Lydia, the owner/host, was just amazing and so welcoming. My only regret is that we didn’t have time to share a glass of wine and get to know her better. Thank you for a very special few days."

"An amazing and unique housing structure for large groups. Very spacious and comfortable. Even with 5 people staying here it did not feel crowded at all; however, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen and some bathroom areas. Also, more concerning for us, was that we saw a few mice in the house. One hiding in the master bedroom closet, the other by the living room area. Potentially more throughout the house, so be mindful of this. The house is quite remote with a large open field next to it so I’m sure many critters probably get in. Other than that it was a nice stay."

"This property is clean, very well equipped to accomodate a group of 6-8 people, to prepare meals and rest after hikes. Perfect location for Mt. Whitney hike."

"What an amazing place! Got a tip from a local to take a short drive up the Mount Whitney portal and I highly recommend everyone do the same. The views from the room are AMAZING! Waking up to the sunrise on the mountains was something I'll never forget. Communication was fast and very helpful. Highly HIGHLY recommend staying here."

"This property is fantastic with views unlimited. Close to Lone Pine n Mt Whiney. Jill was a fantastic n responsive host. The house was great for several people n spacious. It was clean and so many amenities in the kitchen n baths. Would highly recommend this for any size family or visitors. It will not disappoint. Thank you Jill!!"
