"I booked a night at Stone Gate because it advertised a private hot tub, bath robe, breakfast. When I arrived we were told they havnt had hot tubs in years nor do you get a bath robe, we were very disappointed and because I booked through Expedia there was nothing they could do. I even tried to pay the difference to get a better room and they wouldn’t do it. We stayed because I had already paid online, the room was ok and breakfast was fresh. I probably won’t go back again. 😟"

"Hot tub was adequately warm although bubblers didn't work. The pool was not heated. King and quen beds are not available and the restaurant is not open. Adequate for one night stays as may be required. "

"We are a family of 3 and stayed in their 2-queen room with a kitchenette. The room has a sink, a bar fridge, a microwave, a coffeemaker, mugs, dishes, glasses, and cutlery. There is no kettle. The sitting area has a sofa bed, which is very uncomfortable. There are extra bed sheets and pillows for the sofa bed inside a tiny closet, but no extra blanket. The hotel amenities are very limited; no extra soap by the kitchenette sink, and no shower cap. The check-in process was very slow. Staff are friendly. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate, with toasts, bagels, cereal bar, scrambled eggs, ham, Greek yogurt, and cook-your-own waffles. There are lots of seats in the breakfast area. All-day coffee and tea are available. The bathroom has a shower stall only, no bathtub. It was clean. Unfortunately, the night table was not cleaned properly. There were visible sticky spots on the table. I don't know how it could be missed. This made me look at everything suspiciously. The hotel is easy to access from Hwy 12, with several restaurants close by. I would stay here again if I were in the area. Our experience with this hotel was pleasant enough. "

"Ignatius was a super responsive host, the house was very clean, and the area was very convenient to go to Vetta spa. However, it was not worth the money we paid. The hot tub (why we picked the place) had green and dirty water, the bedrooms lack proper heating (baseboard heating that doesn’t work great, in some rooms), and everything inside and outside of the place needs quite a bit of TLC, including claw marks in some of the rooms, stained walls and ceilings, drywall cut outs in some of the walls, cracked electrical outlets, the list goes on. It did not have blinds or curtains for the bedrooms, only sheers, and no face cloths or dish cloths. One bedroom doesn’t have a window at all and this leads to the second bathroom in the basement. While it did the trick for the two nights we stayed, I would not come back or recommend this house given the price, and am happy it was for a short duration only. This house is also too far for uber/skip the dishes so plan accordingly if you’re staying here (not the owners fault, just something for renters to note) "
