"The building has an extensive history and is an architectural marvel. The room was spacious and well appointed. Dinner was exquisite. The grounds were immaculately kept and the surrounding land was a picture of pastoral beauty. The pool and sauna were relaxing and we had them all to ourselves. It was a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary."

"Staff were hit and miss. Lucy checked me in and was great but Grace refused to let me borrow a charger even though she said there was a box full in lost property. Breakfast staff not brilliant either. Asked for a pot to put sauce in too be told to put straight on plate, why? Lager in bar was flat except the one that costs £7.95. Dont take cash. Room was only ok. Would not rush back."

"Great location and hotel, a relaxing place to stay. The premisses was kept clean and in great condition. The spa facilities was wonderful, it had a course to follow for a full experience. The room I stayed in was clean and tidy. The interior was not the best, not very modern but satisfactory. Also, need to access the room I stayed by stairs from the first floor so might not be ideal for those with walking difficulties. However, it was a great place to stay and the views and golf course are breath-taking!"
