"This is a working winery with rooms and is an actual castle! Short ride to Montereggione, Castel Pietraio is a quiet respite from the rest of thrr we chaos of traveling in Italy. An evening wine tasting and charcuterie let us converse with travelers from all over the world. Comfortable, generous rooms, and a well-maintained pool. Spend 2-3 nights if you can!"

"Great quiet location for visiting the Chianti region. The pool was pristine and delightful after a long day of sight-seeing.The value for a two-night stay with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was unbeatable. The internal rooms were clean albeit the decor was eclectic.The outside space needed some tidying and tending but it didn’t hamper our enjoyment. We liked the kitty that stopped by daily for a belly rub.FYI, the road to the property is gravel so your vehicle will fret dusty!"

"Villa was perfect and its location was great for daily explorations to other cities. Good restaurants in the area. The owners, Giancarlo and Paola were wonderful hosts and very helpful and gave us good recommendations for dinners. Gianni was also a good resource for us.The pool and surrounding patio area was good for relaxing and the villa was well equipped for our stay.We even went on a special excursion with the owners, who went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one."

"The barn was the perfect Tuscan escape. To return back to the property after short day adventures through the Tuscan hills, or just to spend the day on the property, and by the pool, playing tennis, reading, sketching, the occasional nap, only to pull from the garden to help prepare dinner. The sunsets wound down the day and the views never get old!We lived our best lives in the Tuscan hills and couldn’t be more thankful for it! "
