"Stayed with family to celebrate birthday. The house and property were beautiful, clean. quiet and peaceful. Sitting on the porch and seeing wildlife was an added bonus. And the big soaker bathtub - wonderful! We would definitely love to return! And the short drive to Knoebels was great!"

"I grew up in Shamokin so I understand most of the homes are historically old and many are row houses. The host does a wonderful job of making the home feel welcoming. Loved the decor and fun layout. The bathroom is large and clean with great water pressure; that's always a bonus. ;)"

"If you’re looking for an isolated setting where nobody will bother you, this is the place for you! You basically have your own road and there is nothing but woods and cornfields as far as you can see from the house. Perfect for a relaxing trip, with civilization only about 10 minutes away. There were a LOT of dead bugs, however, including a few in our bedding. I’d double check before sleeping in the beds if you stay here. Other than that issue, I would recommend this place as a peaceful getaway!"

"The 3 bedroom house was perfect for us and our two sets of grandparents for Bucknell Graduation. The house is set is a quiet neighborhood, and you can get to campus in less than 10 mins. House is spacious, clean and has everything you could need. Would definitely recommend!"

"Me and my friends just spent our New Year's here for two nights. The man cave lives up to its name-- we spent a good deal of the weekend playing pool, darts, and card games, used the grill, and were just a few blocks off from some great food and liquor stores. I'd imagine any sort of group would enjoy coming here, though, given other advantages like access to trails and monuments in historic PA. Everything worked just as we wanted it to, and Mary's filled out the space to create a great place...

"Beautiful, peaceful property. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back. Hearing the creek and frogs at nite was amazing. House was comfortable for all 7 of us..and kids loved the pond and fishing altho no fish were caught. Enjoyed the off - grid, no tv, no wifi experience while everything you need runs on like drill batteries. So cool!! Hosting family was gracious and so kind. We loved their farm, esp the pony! Seeing the sheep herding we will never forget. This was a special...
