Chose hotel for location which was perfect for a quick walk to the beach or the several local restaurants. Hotel itself is old and rundown and the bed was hard as a rock so 5 on location and 1 for hotel. Hotel staff was nice.

Location was great. The hotel itself is quite run down. The elevator doesn't work, but I suspect that is the norm, since reviews at least 4 months ago mention the same. The room is fine for sleeping, but it is essentially a dorm room. Small TV, no thermostat, no extra amenities. If I was staying in the area for more than a single night, I would suggest finding a hotel with a bit more to offer. For our purpose (night before a cruise), it met our needs.

The location is great… can’t beat it. The room was spacious and clean but that’s where the good ends. The bed was uncomfortable, no elevator and no coffee. This is a good room for a one night stay but wouldn’t stay longer in this hotel.

Overall… meh. Great location and price for what you get. Friendly staff and no problems. Cool historical hotel. A/C works fine in room. Room is “tired” and beds are rock hard. No housekeeping service available. No microwaves in the entire hotel! Doors have physical keys so don’t loose them. WiFi cost extra and is super spotty - it was free for us to cover the fact that the elevator is broken, which they failed to mention until we checked in. Good beach access for a great price. Just don’t plan on being very comfortable in the room. We would stay again I guess just because of the price and location - can’t beat that.

Nice hotel, right by the beach. Front desk staff was very nice. Its cold in the building but you can get a very nice warm blanket at the front desk. Enjoyed my stay in a comfortable room!

Location was great. Hotel was not- no coffee maker, no microwave, no tissue, no drinking glasses, no bottled water provided, pillows horrible. Had a tub with a shower connector but no way to turn the shower on. Front lobby old and not inviting- floor to ceiling curtains hanging to hide things. Public washroom filthy. Front desk staff were nice and accommodating. The hotel needs a complete Reno.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights. I love the old feel. It’s so adorable. Staff were really helpful with my questions. Perfect location! The beds and pillows were a little hard, and the showers could be updated. But I would 100% return!

This vintage hotel is awesome. Rooms were clean, beds were cozy. A/C is central not by room. We were a bit chilly so front desk gave us two fleece blankets and we slept beautifully. The retro decor starts as soon as you walk into this heritage type building and is mirrored throughout. The elevator was out of order which was unfortunately because we were looking forward to seeing the old fashioned style lift. Front staff was very helpful with any and all questions I had. Location is insane! Walking out the front door takes you right to the beach. Nestled in between great restaurants. 30 second walk from bicycle rentals. I would definitely come back.
