"Great hotel, convenient, very clean, great staff. On the other hand we got a room where the area was loud, cold water in shower and light going through the window. Other than that we would recommend the hotel. "

"The property was well maintained and had all the modern facilities. We loved the area and the amazing daily breakfast. The staff was very nice and accommodating especially Jessica at the front desk. We did wish that the restaurant on site was open until later as we had to drive into the city of La Fortuna to get meals. The chocolate tour was amazing and a fun family activity. "The weather was changeable. Absolutely amazing views. We could see the ocean! Also parrots, raptors, songbirds. House as described. Host is welcoming and kind. Access to cloud forest, hummingbird gallery, orchid garden, local brewery. Only issue was complete lack of hot or even warm water."

"We were the only ones there (it's a small place with only 3 cabanas), and it was absolutely perfect. We found it on a whim after bailing on our other accommodations, as the town where we were was unbearably hot. When we drove up into the hills using the excellent directions they sent, we arrived to a cool breeze, a pool all to ourselves, very friendly service, and a spectacular view. Our only regret is that we didn't stay there in the first place! It's truly a hidden gem!"

"Immediately upon arrival, the incredible hosts made us feel at home. The farm tour included a visit with all of the animals and their unique, charming personalities, including Frijoles the pig and Confite the dog. The kids loved swimming in the river and seeing the other animals on the farms such as howler monkeys, geckos, bats, tailless whip scorpion. We would definitely return!!!"

"Our time at the farm was very memorable! It gave us a real view of Costa Rica, something hotels cant do. We LOVED waking up in the morning to the friendly pig and dogs, while sitting on the gorgeous patio overlooking the river while enjoying the breakfast we had ordered. It away from the busyness of Monteverde, but not too far and the drive to and from here is breathtaking! Definitely worth considering!"

"Hidden down a dirt road awaits a rural escape. This was a great place to stay, comfortable, private and surrounded by nature. The location is only a 15 minute drive to La Fortuna and a 5 minute walk to the grocery store. Our Host responses were prompt and we highly recommend."

"We had a great few days at Finga Manclar. The staff looked after us very well. We went full board and we had excellent local food. We also did most of the trips with Luis which were great fun - tubing, fishing, mangrove tour, waterfall, horse riding. Rooms don't have A/C but the fans were good. Make sure you bring plenty of beers and mosquito spray for sitting out on the veranda chillaxing. "We enjoyed staying at the farm with our two kids while exploring the Monteverde area. The house was simply, but artistically decorated with natural log-plank furniture and murals of local wildlife. The farm dogs made friends with our kids, even our son who tends to be scared of dogs! Yes, it was rustic, but clean and welcoming! "Very unique property as you are literally staying in the clouds. Great cook and service. Very similar to BC Canada or the Swiss Alps. Star watching was amazing. ATV was fun. It is a must see as it is the TOP of El Salvador highest mountain."
