Tranquil farmhouse with sea view, dog friendly

Tranquil farmhouse with sea view, dog friendly

10/10 Excellent
"Words are beyond our wonderful experience at Bawley Ridge Farmhouse. Bill’s warm and friendly greeting upon arrival at The Farmhouse was just the beginning of a fabulous 24 hour stay. The fire had already been lit and the cosy atmosphere was established from the onset. After a late afternoon walk we came back to find at the front door, a basket of freshly baked bread, local honey, butter, fresh eggs from the resident chooks and a lovely bottle of wine. The outdoor bath was put to use and enjoyed by all. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped with everything a home cook would ever need. A vast array of cookbooks could provide plenty of inspiration. The beds were comfy with the added luxury of electric blankets. Bill and Cam obligingly made up twin beds for our 2 adult children. Was so lovely to have quality linen and towels provided. Bill and Cam generously agreed to early check in and late check out. Felt very grateful for no minimum night stay and being able to just spend one night although we all wanted to stay longer and were loathe to leave. The ocean view from the verandah was glorious. Next time will take advantage of the chiminea. Was lovely to meet Cam the next day and chat to both Bill and Cam before we left. Communications were easy, friendly and questions quickly responded to. Arrival and departure procedures were a breeze. I highly recommend staying at Bawley Ridge Farm and Cottage. Thank you so much Bill and Cam."

"The dishwasher was full of dishes and it was smelly. There was a beach towel in the washing machine that smelt like it had been there for a while. We washed the dishes and ran the washing machine and threw the towel away as it had mold in it.The backyard grass was rather long. The rest of the accommodation was wonderful. We would stay again."

Haven in Nature: Tranquil Beach, Bush Escape

Haven in Nature: Tranquil Beach, Bush Escape

10/10 Excellent
"Had a fantastic stay at this property in Bawley Point over a long weekend for my birthday. With five people in total, the house layout was very comfortable, and its location was only a short walk from several beaches in the area. The property had several outdoor areas backing onto nearby bushland, including a backyard, outdoor firepit, and two wooden decked areas for outdoor seating which was great for having big celebratory meals around. The property was generously equipped with a wide selection of kitchen utensils, as well as beach equipment, toiletries, and outdoor supplies, (eg: BBQ, gas, firewood, insect repellent). The host was incredibly accommodating providing regular communication and clear check-in/check-out instructions and also allowed us to check-out later than the agreed time at no extra cost. The host also supplied an in depth compendium which included information about specific appliances and features of the house which was very helpful. The well-maintained house complemented the overall experience of the weekend away which was enjoyed by everyone in my group. I'll definitely be checking to see if this place is available the next time I visit Bawley Point. Thanks for having us!"
