"the location is great. We were there for a family holiday with a young child. The staff was being told that it was my niece’s birthday. When we returned from the attraction, they had prepared a very sweet letter and some gifts for the little girl. She was so touched. We feel so great with them. The hotel team is so great with kids. They know how to interact with them and keep them engaged with some very thoughtful gifts. The only tiny thing is the aircon making some noise for one of the room. But they have responded so quickly, overall we still would give it 5 out of 5 for our experience. Breakfast is also great"

"The location above the Sants train station where the high speed trains operate was excellent! We took a pleasant taxi ride to the hotel early in the morning we disembarked from our cruise. For a small charge, we were able to go directly to our room, rest, and spend the remainder of the day touring Barcelona. There is an elevator in the hotel lobby that goes directly down to the train station beneath, where we boarded our high speed train to Paris. We were able to check the layout, gates, boarding protocol, etc. ahead of time. Space flight theme is carried out beautifully throughout the hotel. We loved our room on the top floor. We had fun just staying in this beautiful hotel! The staff was so helpful and friendly and accommodating. Most enjoyable hotel on our entire trip."

"Great stay at Hotel 1898! Rooms were large and clean, staff were very helpful, great rooftop pool and lovely spa downstairs with a heated pool, sauna and steam room."

"The hotel is a good location near plenty of good restaurants, shops and bars. The rooms very comfortable but tired. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was plenty of choice but would quality wasn’t great. The terrace bar was closed upstairs and only one hot tub was working - shame. For families - there are no connecting rooms."

"The room was comfortable and quite large, great for a toddler to run around in. The shared bathrooms did the job and were kept clean. The shared kitchen was a bit small. Fridge was a bit difficult to get to but did the job. Having a washing machine was very nice. AC Costed 10 euros a day; you have to mention it to the host who will bring you the remote after you pay online. Considering it was mid 30s with high humidity, the AC was worth it. Unfortunately the one downside was communication with the host. There were some difficulties due to a language barrier. After being told that the host needed a bit more time before checkin, we attempted to communicate that we were going to go get some food while we waited for her to be available. Something got lost in the translation and she attempted to let us in while we were eating, forcing us to rush a bit. We also had difficulty communicating that we needed a crib. Communication issues aside, This is a great place to stay, and I would come here again."
