"Lovely accommodation . Converted stables, very cute. Comfy bed. Large shower, modern bathroom. Afternoon drinks in the bar with cosy fire. Meal in the restaurant in the evening delicious. All staff very friendly. All set in a beautiful village with locals popping in for late evening drink in the bar."

"Clean bedroom and bathroom. Public areas not so much. When we arrived late afternoon there were empty beer bottles in the corridor near our bedroom, old, dirty, cutlery outside another, on another floor. Room service plates etc outside another. These were there still the next day at check out. Staff were not overly personable on reception either, no info. given about leisure centre on check in - would have been helpful to know swim school runs on a Saturday morning! On check out when dropping off key, 2 staff, 1 helping customer while the other seemingly ignored me and then tried to help a man that barged past me! It's a shame as this has always been a lovely hotel!"
