Red Bird Cabin-Peace & Quiet Near the Suwannee River

Log Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6) -450 yards to the Suawnnee River

Come enjoy the peace and quiet at Red Bird Cabin with 16 private acres on the historic Suwannee River. Surrounded by giant, sleepy live oaks, lemon, and orange trees, you will thoroughly enjoy getting away from it all! The property is a wonderful retreat with a large, open yard and gorgeous views. Enjoy watching the local wildlife, such as white tail deer, Osceola turkeys, and blue herons while relaxing in the screened-in sun room or swinging on the large front porch swings.

One king master bedroom is downstairs. There is a bathroom right outside the master bedroom in the hall. It has a walk in shower with a small step over. The other king master bedroom is upstairs in the loft. The twin bunk room is upstairs as well as the second bathroom with a shower/tub.

Red Bird Cabin is completely furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences. It has recently been renovated with new countertops, flooring, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. Bring your food. Bring your fishing poles. Bring your boat! There is a private boat landing on the property, approximately 450 yards from the cabin. The public boat ramp is approximately three miles away.
There is a fire pit with a grill top just outside the side porch.

Red Bird Cabin is a great get away for singles, couples, active families, and snowbirds!

Great house, comfortable beds, great for a relaxing getaway. Negatives the local town is like a ghost town. Not many restaurants and 2 stores for groceries. A couple of us were outside taking photos and a black suv (neighbor down at the end of the drive) rolled slowly down the street, parked facing us and watched us for 5 minutes and drove away, kinda creepy.

Amazing Home

Very peaceful with all the beauty nature has to offer. Home was absolutely beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything needed to cook your meals. Large outdoor areas to relax and a short walk to the river. I will definitely be back!

We had the best time just relaxing and enjoying nature, we stayed 6 days, home is well equipped with anything you may need, Host is very easy to get in touch with and responds back in a very timely manner, it was our 2nd time there and we will be returning

Red Bird Getaway

Wonderful trip. The cabin was fantastic. The quiet, the deer, the turkey. Everything was there to make it a relaxing weekend. My wife can't wait to go back again.

Red Cabin Retreat

We had a wonderful time at the beautiful cabin. We welcomed friends and family for long-needed reunions. The cabin is roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was the best-stocked kitchen I have ever seen in any VRBO we've stayed. The peace and quiet was much needed and much appreciated. We would recommend this cabin to anyone! Great retreat

Redbird Cabin is a wonderful place to stay. The house was clean and had all the amenities. Quiet and peaceful getaway. Fished out of Steinhatchee. I would stay there again.

Annual 4th of July Trip

This property is the perfect place for our family to spend the holiday week. It's close to our favorite springs and family in town. We plan to be back again next year. Robin is easy to communicate with, the house is clean, and everything you need for a great stay is right there.

Red Robin Cabin stay

Tranquil and peaceful home. Centrally located to several state parks and natural Springs. Enjoy fishing and hiking surrounding areas. Enjoyed the morning and evening sitting on the porch swing watching the deer and the turkey roaming the property.

Relax and unwind

Nice family visit

My husband and I traveled from Virginia to Florida to visit our children who live and work in Mayo. This cabin was very welcoming and clean, and had plenty of indoor and outdoor space to allow for a wonderful family visit! We drove to Carabelle beach for the day, and just stayed home and enjoyed being in the cabin the rest of the weekend. We would definately like to stay here again!

Peaceful Retreat

We appreciated the grace and comfort of Redbird Cabin. This Suwannee River home is well equipped and appointed. We enjoyed the expansive grounds, front porch, and outdoor areas. We saw a lot of deer and other wildlife and took lovely drives in the countryside visiting various parks and local towns.

Amazing and Relaxing Get Away!

Everything was clean, comfortable, beautiful and peaceful. Deers walked around the property, and turkeys were in the field. This was a very relaxing and amazing cabin. The host answered my message I sent her right away. I plan to go back again. There were fantastic restaurants and plenty of stores. I highly recommend the Red Bird Cabin. Debbie Knapp

Exactly what we needed!

This cabin is exactly how its described. Clean, tucked away, relaxing. The boat ramp is a short walk and was perfect for us. This cabin is also located very close to multiple springs in the area. There where deer in the morning and lightning bugs at night. Truely a great experience!

We love the house and our plans was to tube the Ichetucknee River and to see some of the surrounding springs. The Ichetucknee river was awesome. we tubed Thursday and Saturday. Fridaywe went to some of the local springs but the swanee flooded most of them.

SWEET CABIN IN THE WOODS

Great little get-away to clear our heads and be surrounded by nature. We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. During the days we drove around to explore the neighboring little historical towns, we especially enjoyed Grumpy's Diner in Madison. We saw deer and a hummingbird came to visit. us one morning while we were having coffee on the rocking chairs on the front porch. The old live oak trees were beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet. The cabin itself was super clean and welcoming and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you.

Best vacation ever!

Our stay at Red Bird Cabin exceeded expectations on every level. The house is beautiful, well appointed, and provides everything you need. The views from every window made it feel like you were outside. We slept soundly in the comfortable bed in the loft area and the streaming services on TV were more than enough. The Wi-Fi connection was excellent. The exterior and grounds are so lovely we didn't want to be inside. The peace and quiet was overwhelming in a good way. The loudest noise was the wind in the gorgeous oak trees. We spent much time walking around the property, on the country lane and down by the Suwanee. Just sitting on the porch admiring the shapes and shadows and being immersed in nature was a welcome respite from the hectic outside world. It was the old Florida that we miss from our youth. We walked to the river several times a day and saw deer every morning. The drives into Live Oak to shop were quick and pleasant and we were excited to find Mobley's butcher shop nearby to buy some great steaks. We were very impressed with our 1st VRBO experience. Robin is an excellent host and responded to our questions ASAP. This was our first vacation in 8 years and the memories will last a lifetime. We are already planning to return in the spring before our work season commences. Red Bird Cabin was the balm our tired minds and bodies needed. I wish I could give it more stars and highly recommend this property to anybody looking for a place to hide and rejuvenate.

Mother’s Day Memories

This place is spectacular! My two daughters and my three grandbabies had the most wonderful Mother’s Day here. Lots of space for the kiddos to run around and explore. Property was kid friendly with lots of kids toys, movies, kids table and chairs, tricycles and bikes. Saw deer and armadillos. Walked down to the boat ramp. It was so perfect for us. Thank you Robin, we will definitely be back!
