This place was absolute perfection from the second we walked until we walked out. The friendliest staff and owners. Super comfortable beds and a delicious fine dining steak house right in the building. The grounds are stunning with peacocks, bamboo and a stunning fountain with seating all around. I couldn’t believe how good of a deal the Putnam Lodge. If I could give 10/5 stars!!!!!!!

This was an old plantation home that has been renovated. It has a lot of charm and is well kept. Many of the old house details have been preserved. There are beautiful grounds and an event space. The owners of 13 years live upstairs and the wife is lovely. She gave us the history of the area and wine/apps on our arrival. If you are in the area, would recommend a stay!

Wonderful place to stay and dine! The staff was so accommodating and the room was delightful! The grounds are full of adventures…peacocks, parakeets, a cat, and Guineafowl. We loved the food in the quaint restaurant and bar. We will definitely return here on our next visit to the area!

Enjoyed this very old Lodge and all of the character. Our bed was comfortable, just be aware that if you are in a room on the busy highway side - it is very noisy in the morning. The restaurant was wonderful and everyone was super friendly. If in this area we would not hesitate to stay again.

It is a very unique place. I would strongly recommend staying in this hotel. Keep in mind dining room is open from Thursday-Sunday. Excellent food. Staff was so friendly. Roo was so clean, and a lot of history in the 100 year old building. Awesome place!

I love historical hotels and homes and Putnam Lodge is so well maintained with historical details. The staff are very nice and the restaurant is great. The peacocks walking around the yard were an added bonus.
