"The host was very welcoming and made everything very fun. He had mican and snacks and water for us. He didn't speak much English, but he had a detailed book about the place with pictures and explanations in English. The place was so Quaint and over 100 years old, but we'll maintained and clean with modern amenities. The futon and bedding were very comfortable. We loved the elaborate garden with fish to feed and the whole ryokan experiences. We were going to go to Matsuyama for shopping after...

"The staff were so lovely and the hotel had lots of little nice touches that made it a pleasure to stay at. Dogo onsen was next door and the hotel provided towels and yukata to take. The room was quiet and peaceful. I didn’t dine at the hotel but enjoyed the free sake bar and there were lots of options for food nearby. "

The public bath was well maintained, clean and enjoyable. The Japanese and Western style breakfasts were delicious; however, the service was sometimes slow and lacked server attention to details ( i.e. drink refills and removal of empty dishes).
