This was just a brilliant relaxing stay in a lovely clean comfortable welcoming atmosphere with amazing views and the food was fantastic topclass breakfast and plenty of it. Hosts are super helpful and friendly would highly recommend to all

Perfect B&B

Loved it!
Hosts were very welcoming. Beautiful location, charming accommodation. Room a tad small but ensuite fab. Great breakfast using local produce. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here couple of nights whilst on business . Nice comfy room , great bathroom. Located high up in the hill , but located well , and taxis east and only £5 EW … only need way back 😂 . Lovely breakfast , would stay again .

Ok for 1 night stay
Booked based on great reviews from other travellers. 2 night stay at Gables. Negatives - Booked a double which was zip and link beds. Mattress old and too hard for us plus you could feel the join in the middle. Very small room and en-suite door dragging on the floor. Positives. Very nice breakfast and very clean throughout. Wouldn't stay again due to comfort of bed.

Lovely, freindly, owners, very helpful. Beautiful veiw, very tasty breakfast, great value for money. Only small pointers are the bath whilst looking amazing was very uncomfortable as was the toilet seat (just personal preference). Also just bare in mind the quadruple room is a standard double and double sofa bed for the kids to share.

Gorgeous room with beautiful views, lovely friendly owners who gave cake on arrival and were very good with our 4 month old so .:) they even offfered a travel cot and baby bath if needed! Highly recommended.

The location was perfect for visiting the Peak District and the view from the front garden was amazing. Sue and John were the perfect hosts, always there to offer advice and help with anything. Breakfast was absolutely superb.

A bit out of the way and in a very steep area. The house is exceptional. We had a bit of trouble finding a place nearby to eat, partly because we visited in November perhaps.

Fantastic B & B!!!
We had a lovely stay at The Gables Bed and Breakfast. It's a bit tricky to get to up the narrow lanes and hills (I wouldn't want to try it in the winter when it's a bit icy) but once there the view is fantastic and the couple who run it are really friendly and attentive. We had the suite which had a large double bed and fold out double sofa-bed for the kids. The room was clean and comfortable, with a TV and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was amazing, there is Wi-Fi and you can also use the sitting room to watch a film or relax for a bit. Overall we had a lovely stay and I'd highly recommend this B & B

Beautiful place with a stunning view from the terrace. Everywhere was so clean and beautifully decorated. Sue and John were so welcoming and friendly and really helped us out when our taxi didn't turn up to get us to the wedding on time - thanks Chris! Breakfast was also delicious. Gorgeous hillside b&b
This was our second visit and we'll be back again! Such a gorgeous b&b, lovely hosts, great breakfast and stunning views. The family room is really comfortable and has the most AMAZING bath and shower, the only problem is it makes you want a new bathroom at home! Thank-you for another fantastic stay.

Excellent B&B and the views from our bay window (we had the suite) were great. Good room and lovely en suite , lovely breakfast and friendly owners. Not the easiest place to find but my sat nav is somewhat lacking ! Highly recommended

Welcoming owners, fabulous views, comfortable room with an amazing bathroom! Wasn't the easiest place to find on the navigation so look it up before you get there! Being so nice, I'd probably recommend this more for couples than young families!

Nice B&B with lovely views (up a steep hill).
Nice welcome with coffee and cake. Pleasant room with nice shower room and very comfortable bedding. Very clean and bright everywhere. Superb breakfast and excellent service from Sue and John. Bit of difficulty finding it (sat nav)! Got a cheap taxi ride to pub for a meal and glass of wine in the evening.

Fantastic B&B with beautiful view!
Wow! What a beautiful place, set up a steep hill overlooking the stunning scenery of Matlock. We were so well looked after by John and Sue, we were welcomed with yummy Victoria sponge cake and they were perfect hosts. The family room is amazing and has the best bathroom ever! Local pub within walking distance (down the hill). We will certainly return and would highly recommend a stay here.

joli Bed and Breakfast. bon service. Joli petit déjeuné avec des fruits frais. notre chambre contenait deux lits qui aurait pu être reliés et attachés ensemble pour n'en faire qu'un. Jolie petite salle de bain privée. seul défaut, la route pour monter est assez étroite. Heureusement qu'il y en a deux.(nous pouvons donc choisir laquelle nous voulons)
