The only thing that didn’t go as planned was the hot plate, we couldn’t get our water to boil for some mac&cheese, but we had a backup! "There is a delapatated, abandoned house on this property that is intentionally left out of photos. There is a narrow, unlevel path from the driveway down to the lakefront site that makes you cross over an ustable "bridge" made of house siding, and some uneven cinderblocks as "steps". You must traverse this to unolad gear and any time you access the honey bucket. The honey bucket is not cleaned before you arrive, but theres a cleaning fee for each day you stay. There are horsetail weeds...

Even though rooms are on lower (basement) level, it was warm and fan was not enough with European type bedding. Previous reviews had mentioned no air-conditioning. "The cabin was a mixture of efficiency and modern, artsy design. The kitchen area was very well designed and we loved the design of the fridge. They had everything a couple would need, coffee, towels, shampoo, conditioner, etc. it appeared that the cabin was totally updated within the past two years. "I absolutely loved this hotel. The decor is lovely and up-to-date. The lobby is cozy and welcoming. The room is clean and comfortable with nice bedding. I loved extra thoughtful touches such as a little shelf at the full length mirror (for holding jewelry or make-up for last minute applications) and the frosted window panels in the bathroom door. The elevator lobby on the guest floor had a console with an ice cooler holding ice bags to grab on your way to the room. I highly recommend this hotel."
