"We were made to wait for check in(understandable) but the service was cold. When we then checked in at 3pm and went to room it had yet to be made and was filthy from the previous guests. What is most annoying is what happened/didn't happen next. No customer care, no management, pretty poor all round. The lack of service or care ruined the experience. Would never book again"

"This hotel is OK if you are staying for 1 or 2 nights and are happy to live out of your suitcase. However there are a number of issues if you are staying for a longer period. 1. Storage space - There are no drawers in the rooms, to put things like underwear or small clothing items. In the double room there was only one bedside cabinet which meant all my bedside items (book, phone etc) had to go on the floor 2. Bathroom - There wasn't one. The handbasin was in the passage between the door of the room and the bedroom section. There was a shower compartment which opened onto the bedroom with a curtain to hide you when you were showering. My wife loves me very much but did not particularly want to see me washing my "bits". 3. If you are female there is nowhere to put make up or any other things that a lady needs to make herself presentable on leaving the room. 4. Breakfast was nice but because the hotel appears to cater especially for tour groups it is difficult to get a table at times. 5. Hotel bar - There is no bar service,you have to wait for a waiter to take your order and bring it. On one occasion this resulted in a 15 minute wait before ordering and then a 30 minute wait for the drinks to arrive. 6. Room cleaning - They have an unnecessary technological system where you press a button the wall to request room cleaning the next day. We did this - the room was not cleaned. I am not sure how this is more efficient than hanging a note on your door requesting the room be cleaned"

"The hotel is amazing. It has good amenities like a table tennis area, bar and gym. Really beautifully decorated. The only things I did not enjoy is that it’s a little out of the way, and there’s little staff as the check in and check out are self service. I missed the human connection. Having said this, the staff I spoke with were very kind."

"I've never seen a place like this...in a way it's cutting edge as far as tech goes on keyless entry, but on the other hand, this could be a terrible situation if your phone battery dies, or you arrive and cannot get service for whatever reason, or your phone gets stolen! Being an American traveler in Berlin I am not familiar with the area or language or anything. Yes, I speak some German but I am by no means fluent. So you could imagine a situation at say 11:00 at night, where your phone battery dies and you have no charger, or plug, you would be completely screwed. And who on the street is going to talk to you at 1:00 pm and help you charge your phone? Good luck. They use NO physical keys, you have to open the website, log in and then slide your finger across a button to open EVERY door, entry, elevator, inner doors, and room door, there were even doors to which I knew not where they led. So...no phone, no entry. They may say, call us, and they show a number and scan code outside on the window...but how? No phone. Luckily we were able to get in each time except when we arrived it was very confusing. AND, to make matters worse, there is NO STAFF, EVER. There is a service desk visible from the sidewalk, but I never saw anyone in 3 days. There is no service to the rooms, it's all self service. Need a towel or TP? There's a locker in lobby. We never even found the breakfast area, no signs, just a confusing arrow pointing nowhere. I know it's cheap, $80, but I wouldn't go again."
