There were many positives to this hotel, not least that when we arrived at 10.30am to drop our bags off, we were offered our room as it was aleady ready (3pm normal check-in).
Unfortunately, and this is the reason for the overall negative ratings, the air-conditioning was non-existent and the room was really sticky throughout even when we reverted to opening the windows. We raised the issue on the first evening around 8pm and then again on the following morning. We were told that a technician would be taking a look when they got the chance, but there is no evidence that happened and we were certainly not told what the outcome was. As a result of this, we had both nights of our stay marred by being too hot and not sleeping particularly well.
If it hadn't been for this, or at least the two staff members we dealt with looking like they could care less, our review would have been very positive - at least 4 out of 5 for all aspects of the stay. As it stands, the service around the issue was poor and no-one made any sort of offer to sort the issue or at least to offer a goodwill gesture such as a room upgrade or something like that.
