"Our family came together for my daughter's wedding in Carpenteria. I was looking for a place with space - and this turned out to be a great option. My 88 year old father loves a good sundeck - and this was perfect. He sat outside and enjoyed the ocean view every day. The 3 bedrooms were great - even has 2 king beds! The house is older, so the floors are a little uneven, and it shows some wear, but this does not detract from the stay. The kitchen is modern and the dining table was large enough for a family of 6-8 to sit around easily. There is no AC, but we found it was not needed, as it cools down quite a bit in the evenings. The location is 5 miles between Carpenteria and Santa Barbara - which would be perfect for someone wanting to explore both charming cities. Thank you for a great stay!"

"This is a very nice two bedroom property. Its safe, clean and comfortable. There is a lovely view of the ocean from the kitchen, dining & living room. Highway 101 is about 3 blocks away, so there is some noise when the windows are open, but its cool on the coast at night and the bedrooms are at the back of the property so we had no trouble sleeping. The kitchen is well stocked there were lots of pots and pans, a coffee maker, toaster, blender and a slow cooker. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of pillows. There was shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom and beach towels were provided also. There are no stairs going into this unit. You need to step over the bathtub to get into the shower, but their were grab bars. There seems to be another unit down stairs - down the hillside- but we never saw or heard anyone. The houses are somewhat close together, but the neighborhood was quiet the week we were there. Summerland is a small, cute, upscale town. We had a great brunch at the Beach Cafe down the road. Summerland Beach is quite rocky, go up or down the coast. We were quite comfortable here and would reccomend staying here. "
