"The Art Hotel is conveniently located in Launceston within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and Cataract Gorge Park. Staff is friendly and welcoming, but only onsite from 9 - 6, Mo - Fr, and 10 - 4 on weekends. The rooms are fairly basic and well-worn but mostly clean (despite minor carpet stains, shower corner mold, and A/C lint). Onsite parking is available. A breakfast box is offered for AUD 15. Overall, an inexpensive three-star hotel for guests that value location over luxury."

"Great location. Could have have had some extras available in rooms. Coffee pod machine for example (most have these days) If you just want somewhere for breakfast then the restaurant is convenient but expensive. Plenty of other cafe spots around that are much cheaper. Good value for money overall for accomodation."

"The Terrence restaurant was excellent. Staff generally very friendly, except for the breakfast restaurant. They seemed annoyed when we asked for poached eggs, there were no cups left for tea or coffee. Again, they said 'aren't there any at your table". Impatient when we asked for help. We had the Balmoral suite, the view was incredible. It was a superior room and the bath was very deep and luxurious. The grounds were very relaxing. "

"Check in was extremely disappointing. The twin room I had booked and paid extra for a month in advance was unavailable, so was given a single room next to main road. Traffic noisy all night. However I did get refund of extra payment. "
