Awesome location. At first I thought it was a wee way out of town - but its a very short walk across the road to the Leura Village. The House itself is huge and we were on the third floor - with narrow stair access only. The stairs were worth the climb as we had great views from our balcony. Our one night stay at Silvermere exceeded our expectations, the photos on the website did not do the beauty of this B&B any justice. My family of 4 stayed in the Maids Quarters which was warm, cosy, comfortable and so clean - the bed linen was divine. The owners were highly service oriented, offering some great ideas on what to see and do, they served up a quality breakfast overlooking the beautiful gardens. We would stay here again!

We’ve never used a YHA before and thought at 79 we were probably way too old to start. However we were completely wrong it was perfect for our needs, quiet despite having 2 large groups of school children and the staff apologetic for the noise which we only heard when they were arriving at a reasonable time Right next door to an Aldi and on the main street of Katoomba it could not be more convenient. Our ensuite double was clean and comfortable and fully equipped.
