Very run down and dirty uninhabitable property. Mattresses with blood and urine on . Rips in bedding . Flat overused pillows . Arrogant and abusive staff..Looks cheap and dirty from outside and there are no facilities. Give it a miss and do yourself the favour of your life .

It is very disappointing to see you have left a one star review after staying at our hotel multiple times, yet have never raised any of these issues during your stay. If you had done so, we would have been more than happy to look into this matter for you and ensure these issues would have been resolved. I assume this review stems from your last stay, during which you were actually removed from the property due to abusive behavior towards our staff, damages to our property and disturbances to other guests, all of which was recorded on CCTV camera and for which police was involved. We asked to cancel this booking 3 weeks beforehand because the chap who's function we were attending became very seriously ill. Neither The Greyhound hotel or Expedia would agree to a refund so we lost the cost of the room . Never again !!!

This used to be a nice hotel as one can see in the pictures. Unfortunatley the pictures havent been updated since it was turned into a refugee/ council housing hotel.on arrival the car park covered in litter and cigarette ends was the first sign of problems.The resturant, pub snd swimming pool all closed now.The reception has a table with take away food provided by council i assume for the now permenant residents.Next down to the room past the strong sewage smelling dinning area thats closed down ,past the lift thats permanently out of order and wall panels damaged and falling off and up the stairs. We were in a group so we had 3 rooms. All were in different forms of dis repair with broken basin, cigarette burns , carpet stains ,long worn out mattresses, long overdue furniture replacement and general grubby feel.even at the price, we would all rather have paid more for any where else. The 10/10 reviews are either fake or from hoarders looking for a weekend brake from their condemned homes.

Disappointed with the place, leaking toilet (they knew about it because there was a towel underneath), lamp with no light bulb but loads of dust! Broken window so wouldn’t close, extremely slippery on the hard flooring in the room, nearly fell over and was a complete scare as I’m pregnant, I had shoes on btw. No soap in the bathroom which I thought was normal for a hotel? My partner and I didn’t feel safe to the point where we took all our bags with us when we went out for something to eat!

Apart from no restaurant it was quiet and warm. The curtains in our room were torn. The other thing was no drawers or cupboards for storage.

This property is completely run down, the walls are dirty with holes in them. The funiture dilapidated, taps were broken, the lift permanently out of service, fire doors propped open. The bed mattress well passed it's sell by date. Soundproofing is poor, I was kept awake by tv noise and people in other rooms. I didn't feel safe in the hotel, exacerbated as my bedroom door didn't close properly. At check-in staff gave the impression they couldn't be bothered, and a manager was simply rude.

The room was clean and spacious but furniture,room etc dated and a little worse for wear. Staff were friendly and helpful. No restaurant or bar, both are closed. Hotel is housing homeless people and families but everyone seem nice. Overall it was okay for one night and for the price.

Shockingly bad! Avoid.
By far the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in the past 20yrs. How this place is still able to operate is beyond me. My room had a crack in the ceiling which started to leak during the night, I was moved to another room that wasn’t much of an improvement. This place need knocking down.

I asked for ground floor room due to medical reasons, but was given third floor room that was poorly maintained in bad condition. TV did not work, no shower curtain, couldn't use WiFi as signal too weak. Very rude, unhelpful and uncaring staff on duty refused to rectify situation. Didn't get a wink of sleep all night. The standard of service at this hotel is awful, like some hotels I've stayed at in a developing country. I won't be booking this place again. The worst hotel I've stayed at in Warrington area.

Absolutely horrible hotel, really stinking, dirty, noisy, run down place . Photos on the webpage are not what the real state is. I spent one night with my son, where I was absolutely disgusted, because we were late and had no time to book something else we had no choice but spend a night in this filthy place. I do not recommend to anyone to stay here. PLEASE AVOID

Inexpensive accommodation, clean and fresh guest rooms reasonably equipped, new staff with a welcoming smile. The attached pub is closed (not sure how long for), the swimming pool decommissioned, and the general appearance is looking a bit tired, but still good value. Quite quiet today.

I have stayed in some bad hotels, but this one by far the worst. Decor from late 50s, burnt carpets, dirty shower with tonnes of hair, not working lights… mould in kettle(!). And we only arrived at 21:50! We left as soon as possible, felt like i needed a shower after staying in that room…

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - URINE STAINS ON BEDS!
This hotel does NOT look like the photos, my team was shocked to find urine soaked beds with yellow stains. Hair everywhere and the bathroom was crumbling. No food available and even the receptionist stated "I wouldn't even let my dog stay here". The team did not stay here and instead got a hotel elsewhere. Once they had settled and spoke to the locals, they were told the place had been turned into a Brothel!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! - REFUND PENDING!
