"The Kelvin is in an older building with a lot of charm. The room was large and clean with good amenities, including a kitchenette which was quite handy. The statt were very helpful and super friendly. Our bed was relatively comfortable as well. There is only paid parking available, but it was conveniently located right across the street from the hotel, which worked well for us and gave us the freedom to wander around Oban on foot. The bar downstairs was a nice place to relax in the evenings...

"Oban is a lovely wee town and is very busy. I think that guesthouses and hoteliers take advantage of this and charge way over the top. £95 for a room with no en-suite and very basic facilities. The kettle didn’t work in the room. If it’s just a room to get your head down I’d recommend this place. It’s clean and the shared shower room is as clean as the other guests leave it behind them. "
