"The setting of this beautiful home couldn’t be better: a gorgeous beach, perfect sunsets and sparkly night skies with shooting stars. The house is so comfortable with separate and private bedroom suites, a great kitchen, dining and living areas. Just perfect. The kitchen cabinets and drawers, and the laundry area were so precisely labeled and well stocked with every last thing you needed or would have wanted. We were all so grateful to have found this beautiful and comfortable home for our Big Island vacation."

"My husband and I had a wonderful one week stay at Fairmont Orchid. The weather was perfect mid October, and this area is generally very dry. We were looking to unwind and only rented a car for one day to go visit Volcano village and the botanical gardens in Hilo. I do recommend a one and a half hour scenic drive to the beautiful gardens. Snorkeling in the hotel lagoon was an amazing experience. There are so many turtles there and different kinds of fish. The hotel provides snorkeling equipment free of charge. Do not forget water shoes for swimming. I saw many sea urchins. There were plenty of chaises in the shade as well as in the sun, and you could also rent covered chaises as well as private cabanas. The food is good but it’s better at the neighboring Mauna Lani for the same money. The shuttle will take you there free of charge. You can walk there along the beach. We enjoyed both resorts. Fairmont guests are welcome at Mauna Lani. Overall, great relaxing time."

"This was our second year in a row to stay at Nancy and Greg’s home. We had a great time snorkeling and our girls love the boards and playing in the keiki tidal pool. It’s awesome to be able to swim or kayak right out to the reef! Our family likes to explore when the tide is out and this year saw an octopus, several eels and of course plenty of sea turtles, too. We like the privacy of the property and really enjoy the native trees and flowers. We had everything we needed including a beautiful view all week long. It was a little hotter at night this time but we made it ok with all the fans going. Hopefully we will be able to visit again soon!Mahalo,The Fullwoods"

"Our party included an extended family of 13 ranging from grandparents to grandkids. The house was a perfect fit with Hawaii style and comforts. We happen to be there when Hurricane LaLa was approaching and the host and his onsite overseer were proactive in communication. When the power went out that communication and care continued. If you’re going to be stuck due to bad weather, power outages, and closed state beaches, you can’t beat Puako. So many places to access snorkeling and sunsets. The house is a great location to discover Waikola, Kohala, and Kona. All in all, we’re grateful to our hosts for making sure we could enjoy the house safely and comfortably the whole time."
