5 star hotel and more
This is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite. Throughout the trip we were greeted by friendly staff who remembered our names. The restaurants are fantastic, great food and views. I’d recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone who asked me - best experience we’ve ever had!!

Friendly hotel staff everywhere at the property, they gave me happy wonderful stay. The room is clean with nice view and good amenities. I love their robe, very comfortable. Restaurants and bars are also great. Tasty BF and other dishes I enjoyed a lot. Spa treatment was also amazing.

I recently had a splendid 4-day, 3-night stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi, and it exceeded all my expectations. The warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the staff made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The resort's location is breathtaking, with lush greenery and turquoise waters creating a serene backdrop. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a luxurious Rainforest suite, where attention to detail and comfort were evident. The room provided a pampering and relaxing experience, and the check-in and check-out process was seamless. The staff at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi were exceptional, always attentive and courteous. Special mention goes to Chef Black from the beach grill restaurant and Chef Jay from Hai Yan restaurant. Their culinary skills delighted my taste buds, and Chef Black's creative surprises were a treat. Highlight of my stay was enjoying a beautiful sunset at the Horizon restaurant, accompanied by the stunning 'Hornbill' cocktail. The sunset view was mesmerizing, offering a perfect setting to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty surrounding the resort. The infinity pool at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was truly amazing, with crystal-clear waters and panoramic views. It provided a slice of paradise for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Ritz-Carlton Spa, located in such a gorgeous setting, offered tranquility and indulgence, leaving me feeling revitalized. Overall, my stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was remarkable. Highly recommended!!

The real Ritz experience.
Couple - Rainforest Room The challenge about staying at a Ritz-Carlton is that the service is the best in the world, so where ever you go afterwards, you will forever be remarking to your partner "remember how we stayed at The Ritz Langkawi, how good was that". Service: Every single staff member was incredibly friendly, caring and ensured our stay was perfect. From the moment you get to the property, security are welcoming, check in is a great experience and getting to your room is a breeze. Food & Beverage: Amazing service, with staff better trained than many Michelin Star restaurants I have been to. The food is great, the best of what I had on the island - an amzing breakfast buffet with cocktails, local and standard breakfast. The beach grill was great, Horizons was fantastic and Hai Yan was amazing. Everything about the stay was so good, I wish I could have stayed a few more days. We had to move to another hotel for a wedding, and everyday we are saying how good was the Ritz, enough that the bride and groom are heading over to experience true world class service.

An amazing place. To further improve, I would add watermelon to the fruits available. Also the shade umbrella above the beach sofa around the poll @ horizon didn't work well. Otherwise this is an incredible location with great staff, great service. I highly recommend for a break.

Amazing stay
My husband and I stayed at the Ritz Langkawi for 3 days and could not have been happier with the service, food, and accommodations. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the rainforest villa, which was a very pleasant surprise. The service in the lobby, restaurants, and grounds was top notch. The food at all of the restaurants was delicious. We were sad to leave after the 3 days and hope to be back.

Rat-infested venue, son fell ill, rubbish Management, poor Customer Service, avoid at all cost! Thought Ritz-Carlton Langkawi would be ideal place for a holiday, ended up far from ideal. We couldn’t sleep for 2 nights, kept hearing rustling and movement at night, realised it was rats/vermin when we found some fruit bitten into by the rats, and scratch marks on upholstery nearby. Staff wouldn’t believe it until I showed them pics. Son got ill, prob due to rat urine-infected food/fruit, ruined our holiday. Management were absolutely shocking, refused to believe it despite moving us out and getting Pest Control in. Spoke to numerous Management but they didn’t even offer any compensation at all, even after ruining our holiday and getting our son ill! Normal staff were very sympathetic but when the Senior Management is not customer-focussed, then it’s difficult for the remainder of the staff. Very surprising indeed. Will never stay there again, you’re far better off staying at Four Seasons or The Danna(they have better beaches also!). Don’t waste your money at the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi—a real shocker of a place, and worst Management Customer Service ever!’

Absolutely incredible hotel offering ta rainforest experience in a 5 star environment. Staff incredibly polite and attentive making you feel personally known and welcome. 4 restaurant options each offering a great menu. 10 mins from airport and 15 from sky cab by car. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Everything was great, but the TV system is not on par. It freezes and sometimes get stuck completely. It’s not up to date with the common apps like Netflix etc. generally found very little in-room entertainment

Excellent stay at Ritz Calrton
Despite an initial hiccup at check-in, the Duty Manager, Tenkgu Imran did a great service to rectify the situation and was much appreciated. The overall service was excellent with friendly and attentive staff everywhere which made the experience more enjoyable throughout the stay of 6 nights. We ate at the hotel at the three F&B outlets and it was also a great experience with the sea view. See separate reviews for these for Beach Grill, Horizon and Hai Yan restaurants. Room size and design finishes better than most Dubai resort hotels (speaking as an architect). The elevated view of the sea and surrounding forest is what I have missed about the Malaysian environment. Beware that most hotel booking agencies shows sea view photos for rooms with rainforest views. This is misleading as rooms with sea view are extra cost. Also beware of the lovable monkeys. Don’t ever eat snacks on the balcony as you will attract their uninvited attention and they invade in a hoard. One got into our room. There is a warning, and any damages caused by your negligence is at your peril. The hotel covers a large area with its own “forest park” which we walked around easily. Weather throughout our stay was interrupted by intermittent rain and generally overcast. But makes the temperature more pleasant. The rain was welcomed when resident in Dubai. Overall, a great and enjoyable experience for our anniversary. Fully recommended. Will return some day.

Amazing stay with super friendly staff. The room was huge with an amazing view. We loved the food from all of the restaurants, and their are an abundance lf option for breakfast. Everywhere in the resort is clean and imacculate. Special shout out to Nicky who welcomed us on arrival and took care of us throughout our stay.

First of all, when i want to book 3days 2nights via telephone to the hotel because there was some issues with expedia at that time,the hotel reception name izati told me that i have to be charged with the total of RM10,500 (RM3500per day) because i want to stay for 3days and doesnt count as for 2night.. and i was confused and dazed i have never been charge for counted as how many days.. we all knows hotel count as per night! So i decide to contact expedia and they sorted out for me instead..thats the 1st.. So we stayed at the hotel the rest is okay but the staff needs to be trained more to be polite, because upon our check out we wanted to take picture at the deck or so called the insta worthy place if u came to the Ritz, so when the buggy driver send us there he told the girl staff names LING LEE that we wanted to take pictures at that area, and I remembered she rolled her eyes as if we were bugging her time or simply annoyed by our arrival with the kids.. and please note that i am very well-awared that the pool doesn't allowed kids for swimming.. but the hotel did not stated the kids is not allowed to be in that particular area.. so this staff ling lee running towards me and said please dont bring the kids near the pool because kods is not allowed there, and i said its fine we just wanna take picture at the deck which is far away from the adult pool.. and she was aggressively told my sister in law n my husband the same thing pls the kids cant go around here and chase us

Mixed bag. Beach was underwhelming. Very coarse sand. Steep incline. Not really the langkawi beaches I remember. Sea was very rough. Room was spectacular. We got “upgraded” to the ocean villa vs the beach villa however the pool was a third of the size and room was smaller. We did prefer the view so just decided to stick with it. We did have the option to choose to be fair but it wasn’t really an upgrade. Food was great, very expensive, but great. No fault there. Buggy service was pretty poor we ended up walking most of the time as the wait was too long and they just arrive and say buggy then who ever is standing closest will just take it even though others may have waited longer. It’s just awkward. Breakfast is fantastic. The main gripe was the WhatsApp concierge just didn’t really hit the mark in terms of what we expect at the ritz Carlton. Lovely person just felt wasn’t to our taste. If I had to describe it I would have to say a bit too informal. The whole experience just felt a bit over priced considering the experience felt a little short. Room was great but on arrival it just felt like it had been not used for a while. Tv remote didn’t work. AC didn’t work. Outdoor furniture was covered as if in long term storage and other outdoor furniture was stained. Room had dodgy partition door that seemed either damaged or just not smooth. Exposed wiring. Lobby had bird poop on the glass roof. Floor looked dirty & Un-mopped surfaces looked grubby. Just a bit short of expectation

Service was exceptional and all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to us and our little boy. The food was of good quality and the rooms were a great size with good amenities. My only feedback would be that the condition of items/cleanliness could probably do with an upgrade now with our room having a few items that were broken and needed fixing. However we had a truly wonderful time and the services food and facilities were excellent. We would stay again.
