Hotel stuff
Hotel is fine. What made the stay outstanding, is hotel’s stuff. Our receptionist’s name was (i believe) Julious. He went above and beyond to help us out and was very accommodating!

The room was spacious and clean. There was no tea pot or hot water pot. The bed was too soft. Breakfast was not served till 8 am.

Staff was very helpful getting us access to their only EV charger, and breakfast staff very nice. Laerdall is primarily a stop-over for bus tours. The hotel fronts a noisy street. The hotel does not look elegant or charming, as in the posted pictures. The walls are paper thin, and it’s not possible to sleep until your neighbor goes to bed. Blackout curtains are not quite wide enough. The back of the hotel is a mess and needs to be redone.

Family run, nice owner, excellent staff: the ones we spoke to were from Poland and were remarkably sweet and caring. Very comfortable atmosphere, room and bed . Simple, not fancy, but good value . Reminds me of my childhood because there was a tour group from Korea in the same hotel , the owner says he has frequent tour groups coming here. We’re definitely staying again

Two Night Stay
We selected this property due to its proximity to Flam and lack of other options. Although it was 45 minutes to Flam, it worked out well. Not a lot to see in Laerdal, but there are many cute homes along the river and maybe three small places to eat. After dinner we walked up and down the streets. We ended up eating dinner twice at the bakery (pizza, calzones, chili, soup, desserts). We did not eat at the hotel but the menu looked good. I requested a room in one of the older buildings across the street and that was nice. Very clean room and very clean bathroom (with heated floor). Our window faced the road and was somewhat loud but did not keep us awake. If you are a light sleeper, possibly ask for a room on the front. Knut was very accommodating during our stay. The breakfast was excellent.

We stayed in the beautiful old building. The rom was nicely updated. All the staff at the Lindstrom were extremely helpful and nice. I highly recommend if you are traveling to this area.

We had a very pleasant stay at Lindstrom Hotel. The hotel owner, Knut Lindstrom, is the 5th generation hotelier; he is welcoming and cares deeply about his clients. All the staff is polite and helpful. The first night we arrived late for dinner but the chef and waiters were kind enough to accommodate our group (of 9!). The hotel has a cozy lobby with a piano (one of Knut’s children amused us with a fun repertoire of songs). Location is great to go to Flan, hike the Vindhellavegen and explore fjords and glaciers.

Missing the historical vibe
I have stayed at this hotel twice - the 1st stay we were located in the newer section so this time we really wanted to stay in the older historical building. Although the hotel is beautiful it is a bit run down. The rooms also missed the historic aspect. It looked more like an ikea dorm room. I was not looking to stay at a museum but a few older historical pieces would have gave it more of the feeling we wanted.

Takk for tilbakemelding. Ja, det stemmer at vi bruker Ikea i innredning også i sveitsarbygningen. Det vil nok også fortsatt verte brukt , men vi ser alltid etter elementer vi kan bruke på rom i sveitsarbygningen for å gjere det meir autentisk. Nokre rom har nok eit meir autentisk uttrykk enn andre rom. Til neste år har vi nok fått ytterligare nokre innreiings detaljar på plass og i sveitsarbygningen. Velkomen tilbake.

Slitt hotel
Gammelt og slitt hotel med dårlig renhold pp rom og i resturant. Vi gikk hullete sengetøy, én flat pute hber oss, hard madrass og støv generelt alle steder på rommet. Restauranten hadde glass med rester på seg, lite utvalg av mat og pålegg.

Velhalden 70-tals-sjarm. Delar av hotellet er frå midy på 1800-talet.Venleg atmosfære. Topp beliggenheit. Gamle Lærdalsøyri må opplevast. Svært god valuta for pengane. Ikkje for ungdomar på russetur.

O hotel é bem localizado e o quarto que ficamos era bom e tinha vista de uma linda cachoeira. O banheiro era muito ruim, sem box (com cortina de plástico), sem suporte para colocar xampu e sabonete e sem tapete de banho. O café da manhã deixou a desejar, principal com relação à variedade de frutas e de pães. Os funcionários foram muito atenciosos e educados.
