Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Gut ausgestattet und sauber. Sehr ruhige und schöne Lage. Alles war sehr gut per Fuß zu erreichen (Supermärkte, Bahn, Restaurants, Fushimi Inari-Taisha,...). Wir waren alles in allem sehr zufrieden und würden das Hotel weiter empfehlen.

Best stay of our trip thus far!

This cute hotel is a gem in the city! A short walk to Fushimi Inari and convenience store. There is so much space that it puts other hotel rooms to shame. Would recommend for families, couples or groups. There is a small kitchenette w/ a Nespresso and a large shower room. The washing machine combo was a great amenity that we used - took some time to understand the instructions but loved that it washed and dried our clothes.

We really liked this hotel. It was very spacious, nice to be able to do laundry , and the staff was helpful. We also liked being so close to two subway stops and Fushimi Inari shrine. The Shrine can be very crowded so it was great to be able to go very early in the morning or late in the evening ( I suggest you do both ). We would stay here again

非常出色的公寓式酒店，酒店位於伏見稻荷車站附近，3-4分鐘便可到達，去酒店的路程會經過便利商店，非常方便！酒店到伏見稻荷神社只需5分鐘，位置非常便利！ 房間非常寬敞和整齊乾淨，浴室很大，有廚房可煮食，整體來說是非常出色和物超所值的住宿體驗，值得下次再住！

The manager was very friendly and showed us how to run everything in the room. The room was very clean. The room was like a mini-apartment. It was great. We loved all the electronic connections - water temp, room temp, washer & full room dryer, windows, etc. Great coffee maker too. Great location - really close to the grocery store, the train, the foot massage spa, the food vendors. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Japan.

Great accommodations and location in Kyoto!

Hotel Gentle Fox was a wonderful place to stay in Kyoto! I have several food allergies and have to cook my own food so the accommodations were perfect. The hotel is walking distance to a supermarket and the stovetop made it easy for me to cook my meals. The location of this hotel is also great - walking distance to a station and right by the Fushimi Inari shrine. The room was also very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We had some problems with the wifi when we first arrived but the staff fixed it for us right away.

This is a darling, small property with clean spacious rooms. Only a short walk from the trains. There is a kitchen, nice bathroom with separate toilet room, and a washing machine. There are roll away beds as well on the property. The beds are very firm as we’re learning most are in Japan. There is heating/AC in each room which is nice as well.

Good for a morning hike to Inari Fushimi

My wife and I stayed there for a night so that we can visit Inari Fushimi early in the morning to avoid crowd. In this sense, the location of this hotel is good. It located in a quiet residential area, and you can walk to the train stations and Inari Fushimi Shrine within 15 mins. The room was in good condition with a small pantry which we liked. As there were not many restaurants nearby opening even if it was only 7 in the evening, having some simple food from convenient stores and heat it with the microwave oven was a good idea, especially in cold days.

Comfortable and spacious

We chose this hotel based on other reviews and its location near to the Fushimi Inari Shrine. We weren’t disappointed. The room was spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities. The whole hotel was very clean with easy parking (however there are only three spaces, so you may need to reserve, we were lucky). Nearby there are two train stations, a large supermarket and of course the Shrine, which is a must see. The hotel was quite pricey compared to other places we stayed in Japan but comparable with other hotels in Kyoto. Overall a good stay and we’d recommend.

A perfect stay at Gentle Fox

Gentle Fox is a fantastic apartment style hotel. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. Brand new, super clean, nicely equipped with washer/dryer. Kitchen had plenty of nice dishes and cookware. Air conditioning worked super. Just a short walk to 2 different train stations. Perfect stay with wonderful staff at Gentle Fox

A fabulous hotel in Kyoto

This was the quietest, nicest and most comfortable hotel we stayed in while in Japan. It was surprisingly large, with a full kitchen and a comfortable sitting/dining area. The bathroom was broken into separate shower, sink and toilet areas. It was very convenient to two different train lines, so getting around was a breeze. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish we could have stayed there the whole 9 days we were in Japan.
