"Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. The rooms and elevators are old. the outdoor hotspring is on the top floor with no facilities (you have to go downstairs first and shower) and no real view to speak of. "We had an exceptional stay from the moment we were warmly welcomed at check-in until our seamless departure. The hospitality was impeccable, and the thoughtful welcome drinks were a lovely touch rarely experienced in Japan hotels. The room was beautifully spacious, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable. My son especially loved enjoying his own onsen experience in the bathtub, which made our stay even more memorable. The refillable water provided by the hotel was another thoughtful convenience that we truly appreciated. The frequent shuttle service to Karuizawa train station added great ease to our travels and enhanced the overall experience. A truly wonderful stay that exceeded expectations — we look forward to returning again."
