We really enjoyed our stay the place is great very comfortable, location is amazing, only thing it needs a new shower spigot, were water comes out, and shower head. Very close to great beaches greenbelt path is great! Loved the place. Thanks John.

Beautiful Views Close to Beaches
This lovely home is situated in a beautiful community with sidewalks and a greenbelt path close by which leads down to Brenneke & Poipu Beach Parks. From here it is easy access to all main travel routes by auto. All the amenities needed to enjoy your time at the beach are included. The host of this property, John, is a real asset. He is very responsive to questions and requests and knows the area very well and he shared info about how and where to enjoy this gorgeous island. Early mornings and evenings relaxing on one of the 2 lanais was a favorite time for us. The breezes cool you off and the views, sunsets and moonlight are extra special.

It was advertised to have an air conditioner but it did not function. I called the manager the first day but it was never fixed so It was very hard to sleep in the heat. I asked for a rebate but the owner screamed at the manager that I should have left the first day. But I had already paid over $ 2,000 for a 5 day stay.

Clean, non-condo space that is located perfectly if you prefer to stay in South Kauai. Lots of amenities to make you feel more like home, and a very friendly host that is more than willing to offer advice and help to ensure you have a great stay. We will be looking here first for any subsequent trip to Kauai.

Wonderful property with great location
This was our 2nd visit to this amazing property! It’s in a residential area with a superb location....close enough to walk to the beach different ways. We enjoy the ability of a kitchen (and grill) and being able to combine food preparation with an occasional visit to a restaurant. The breezes are very cooling...there are even 2 lanais, and the house is just....well....comfortable! The agent, John, is amazingly attentive, and he was the agent when we visited 5 years ago! This property is a gem and should be given serious consideration!. We will seek this property on every visit to Kauai!

This basement apartment had everything we needed and was quiet and private. The yard surrounding area is lovely and the property is close to food and activities. The pool and hot tub access was nice, but the hot tub heat was broken. The manager, John, was helpful. He even gave us early access, which was awesome in light of our early arrival time. A home run for my daughter and me.

We loved the rental. It was a 10 minute walk to the conference center at the Grand Hyatt and close to the beach. It is a beautiful setting and very private.

Convenient and comfortable stay for a couple
Had a very pleasant stay at this property in Poipu. Really appreciated that communication with the host was near immediate during our stay. The location was convenient to some of the beaches. The unit was clean and inviting for a couple. We did not spend too much time in the unit as we were usually out and about, but it had all that we needed. Was pleasantly surprised to see that there was access to a pool, although we never used it. Had very good airflow through the bedroom and never needed to use air conditioner.

Beautiful lower level of house in nice neighborhood
The neighborhood is spectacular and location is great. The checkin process was easy and communication was really good. The lower level of the house is decorated nicely. The AC is loud and struggles to keep up on hot days, your best bet is to open all the windows and pray it’s not too humid outside. The BBQ was brand new. The kitchen isn’t a full kitchen but it has all you need to prepare simple meals. We will definitely consider staying here again.

This home is perfect for a couples getaway. It's clean, classy, and convenient to two beaches. An easy paved path gets you to the beach in a couple of minutes. The yard is lovely. We really loved our stay!

Poipu Beach is relaxing and beautiful
We spent 5 days at Hololani, the lover level of a comfortable, clean and convenient home in the Poipu Kai Resort area. Our two teens took the sofa bed and enjoyed many movies on the Roku, after tiring themselves out at the resort pool. Every day we swam at Poipu Beach and watched the sea turtles beach themselves to rest at dusk. We walked all over the area and took daily drives to Waimea Canyon, old town Koloa, different beaches, old cemeteries, and gift shops. The property manager is wonderfully helpful. A great vacation!

The Best Place w/ the Best Host on the Best Island
From the very beginning we knew it would be super. John contacted us while we were at the airport upon arrival to welcome us and advise that best provisioning for a week’s stay was in Lihue at Safeway and/or Costco. Good to know. After that he (and Jill) were extremely helpful with dining and “doing” recommendations. They even tipped us off that our departure day coincided w/ Kauai marathon so we could avoid getting caught in road closures en route to airport. John and Jill are gracious, helpful, kind and worthy hosts. This roomy house is so well suited to visitors. Beaches are close by but at same time it’s private and secure. Refreshing breezes blow through the place all day emblematic of its tropical location. Plus the artwork makes it feel so cozy… it is truly a home away from home. Mahalo John and Jill.

Spacious, beautiful, and great location
This place was perfect for our family of 4 (one 3 years old and one 6 years old). Especially appreciated all the beach gear available. The two lanais made the place more usable and spacious. The wind, windows, and fans made being indoors also pleasant.

My parents had a great time at this property. It was clean, comfortable, and had lots of amenities. Despite not having a range, we were able to use their plug in electrical stove to cook some simple meals. John the property manager was responsive and friendly. The view from the Lanai was gorgeous too. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Location is excellent, walking distance to Poipu Beach, 5-minutes driving to shops and restaurants, and even urgent care. Cleaning staff did an excellent job to keep the unit clean. One or two towels are worn out and have a bit stains and we just chose to use different towels since there were quite a few on the shelf. We did not cook and the plates and utensils are good enough for us.

We enjoyed our first stay on Kauai in this VRBO property, which suited our needs very well. The neighborhood is excellent, safe and quiet. The unit was well-furnished with a comfortable king-sized bed, a large bed room, large living room and everything we needed. There is also a grill and an outdoor and an outdoor dining table. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided. There is a hose outdoors for rinsing off the sand, which we used daily. The kitchen was one wall, and had no range, but did have a full sized refrigerator, microwave, counter-top oven and burners. We were able to cook full meals every night. There is no ocean view, and the walk to the beach is at least 10 minutes, but easy. After exploring many other beaches on the island, we concluded that Poipu was one of the best! We saw turtles on the beach and in the water. There is an outstanding coastal trail nearby that goes for miles, providing a beautiful morning or evening walk. Do not miss it! Overall, a great experience.

Private, attractive space in great location
We really enjoyed staying in the downstairs apartment in this house and likely would stay again. The location is great with views of the beautiful mountains. It was very private and we rarely even heard anyone else -- it was much quieter than staying in one of the large condos or hotels nearby (which we had done a couple of years ago). We walked to the different beaches nearby but usually wanted to drive if doing water sports (also easy). The yard is pretty and we spent time on the two lanais too. The place was clean and met our needs. We cooked almost every day and that worked despite no regular stove. The grill and the induction plate worked well. There was also a 2-burner hotplate that has gotten old but works great for rice. So, it's a small but workable kitchen (as is described in the provided description). The beds work best for people who enjoy memory foam mattress toppers, but the bed really requires that topper. The sofa sleeper in the living room worked well for our son.

This property was great! Loved the lanai right off from the bedroom. Kitchen was perfect for our needs as well, we didn't end up using the grill outside but was nice we had the option. Really no complaints, it was the perfect walking distance to both poipu beach and shipwreck beach. And alot of restaurant options in the area. Shower and bed were both great.

Home away from home
My husband and I just returned home from our 8 night stay and I can’t stop thinking about this place. We have never been to Kauai before and originally reserved our stay for this time last year to attend a wedding, but because of covid 19, we had to reschedule. John, the property manager was extremely kind and helpful and made the whole process a breeze. Speaking of breezes, this home gets such amazing breezes that go through the unit. We had our windows and sliding doors open and it was heaven. We didn’t even need to use the a/c. Everything was very clean and it had everything we needed from beach chairs/umbrella, cooler, hair dryer, washer/dryer and a grill. If I had any questions, John was readily available to answer them. He was very easy to talk to. One of the things I enjoyed the most and will always remember is just sitting out on the front yard every morning with my husband drinking our coffee and looking at the beautiful view! The colors of all the nature surrounding this home are stunning! I am so going to miss our home away from home in Kauai, but if we ever get a chance to go back I will definitely stay here again!

Really enjoyed the walk-able trails in the neighborhood, beaches were easy to access and the house is very central to many things. Clean and well kept. The grille was very handy, and the hotplate (induction and standard) were handy for cooking the side items and breakfast. A wonderful and private little guest house within walking distance of the beach. There is a secluded lanai right off of the master and spacious for a one bedroom. I loved how close we are to the beach. Took a run every morning along the water, shipwrecked beach, and lava rocks. Place was well equipped and the bed was a dream. I lived out little private lanai, great for relaxing and I got to read in the Hawaiian breeze and birds chirping. Poipu beach was a great snorkeling spot just a short drive.

This large 1-bedroom is nicely furnished and well taken care of, in a tony neighbourhood. Its a ten minute walk through the adjacent time-share complex to the excellent public beach. In the other direction its a ten minute walk from the incredible coastal trail, the Maha Ulepu Heritage Trail. Fyi, Po'ipu Beach is a busy place, very much a resort atmosphere, but if you dont mind a lot of fellow human beings it is all very civilized and laid back. We had a problem with the WiFi which the very helpful property manager fixed PDQ, but it was still a 10 mbps service which deserves an asterix beside "WiFi." The only other shortcoming was one-ply toilet paper in an otherwise well provided property, I am sure that will get dealt with :) Would stay again.
