"This is a lovely rustic inn and pub in a historical location. Located on the outskirts of Nottingham and an easy on off of the highway prior to our flight home. We stayed 2 nights after exploring northern England. The beds are clean and comfortable, the food is delicious and the drinks are cold. Lots of local conversation with friendly people"

"I stayed here a couple of years and then moved areas so was delighted to find it again recently , the rooms are amazing everything you need and the breakfast was just as perfect as I remember, the owner Jenny remembered me from 2 years ago loved it so much booked again for next week - lovely relaxing environment with a homely feel ( just what you need when you travel so much with work )"

"The only good thing about the property was the location. The room was clean, but very uncomfortable with low beds, no remote for the TV , a broken chair, and the slow stream of shower water was far too hot. There were none of the luxuries advertised, nor was the basement set up to eat/drink as advertised. Common areas were not clean or well maintained. The owners are clearly trying to sell the property."

"A splendid setting for a comfortable overnight stay and enjoyable breakfast. Although they do not cater for evening meals, we were directed to the Joiner's Arms restaurant a mile away that provided a nice meal with pleasant atmosphere."
