"Amazing room sizes, incredible staff, and amenities "

"I cannot recommend the The Base House Kinosaki enough. There were 4 of us staying for 2 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. The Host of the property was fantastic. He was gracious, courteous, incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond at all times. He was very easy to communicate with and responded to our emails and texts right away. His willingness to shuttle us to and from the town was also amazing. The Property itself was great. It is an enormous house with plenty of space. The beds were comfy, the kitchen has everything you could need, there are multiple clean bathrooms, and the projector room is a great spot for a movie night. I want to thank the host again for an unforgettable stay and we hope to be back soon!!"

"Staff was very accomodating! There was an English speaking staff member that sat down with us and explained everything we needed to know from how to wear the Yukata to using the 7 public onsens. The room itself was quite spacious and very tidy. We tried both of the private onsens on the premise, they were both clean and very relaxing to sit in! Check-in and check-out was easy, there were plenty of amenities on the premise, and they allowed early baggage drop off. Can't recommend enough :)"

"The room, the staff, the private onsen, and the Kaiseki dinner were all amazing. The staff welcomed us in from the cold, took care of our bags, set us up with our own boots for the snow, and taught us how to tie up our yukata’s within minutes of arriving. "Overall we had a very good experience. Excellent amenities. We drove, had valet parking & help carrying luggage to reception where slippers are provided. We had to carry our own luggage up a few steps & then down a few steps to our room. There isn't a spring water private onsen in the room, but you can reserve a private onsen for 40 minutes. Carpet tiles outside the onsens were heavily worn and ruined the integrity of the otherwise pleasant surroundings. A fixed menu for breakfast with a choice of fish. My travel partner was solo the first morning. I chose to not have breakfast the first day since I wanted to know what was served before. I asked to sit with him, but was not allowed. I understand they had rules and I respected that, but I had a feeling that management may have thought I was trying to take advantage of them and was not entitled to the privilege of sitting in their restaurant since I had not paid for breakfast. The next morning we both had breakfast, which was different than the first morning. It was well done and overall very tasty. There were a few choices for the dinner menu. There was beef, seafood and I believe a kaiseki set. We would have had dinner but I was told beef was 57000 yen, up to 65000 (~$360-$411 USD per person!) The room was clean except a lamp by the door had dust in it. In the winter the shower room was cold. Despite some shortcomings, service was exceptional. It was one of our highlights in our Japan trip. Beautiful views. Dreamy and serene."
