Top Kings Canyon National Park Hotel Reviews

Montecito Sequoia Lodge

Montecito Sequoia Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"We feel so fortunate to have stayed three nights at the resort. Not only was it a beautiful environment the room (family lake view) was a perfect fit for the five of us, plenty of space, clean and modern. We were able to do some boating, swimming and played on the trampoline, rock wall, tennis courts and watched the sunset from the deck. The food was delicious, home-made and there was literally something for everyone, including vegetarian options. We appreciated the bag lunches for our days exploring the parks. I so glad we found this gem of a family resort! Staff and guests were so much fun and it was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere! We will be back!"

Western Holiday Lodge Three Rivers

Western Holiday Lodge Three Rivers

8/10 Good
"The room was decent for something near a National Park. Don't expect luxury furnishings and you won't be disappointed. Only stayed one night and for the most part, it was clean enough. We were a family of four and the room was plenty big. We had three small carry-on luggages with some backpacks and there was ample space to move around. Upside: Bathroom/toilet/shower looked like recent remodel. Simple breakfast was included which was a surprise. Downside: It was hot in August and AC was not working that great. We had the ground floor room and had to keep the shades mostly closed so people would not peer in. Location was about 25min from Sequoia Foothills Visitor Center."

Lazy J Ranch Motel

Lazy J Ranch Motel

8/10 Good
"This motel was a pleasant surprise. First off the facilities were kept clean, and it looked very welcoming. The lady in the office was very kind. However, they did have a cat in the office so those that are allergic to pet dander need to be aware. Immediately, my eyes started itching and allergies flared up while I was in there. Took some meds and was able to tame the allergies. The facility has a nice swimming pool. From the motel, there is a walking path that will lead you to the Kaweah river, which was an excellent little hike and great place to go for a swim in the river. The room was clean and smelt fresh. Our room had a queen and a full size bed, and a nice chair which made the room a little crowded because the chair was in front of the bathroom entrance. The room could use a little paint because there were parts of the wall that were patched up. Perhaps they were in the middle of that when we booked who knows. I needed to get some ice for my drinking cups, but the ice machine did not work, that was disappointing. I like that you can park right in front of your room which made unloading our suitcases so much easier. Overall, it was a pleasant experience."
