"The Grand Hyatt Kauai is an excellent pick for this island. It is a beautiful hotel right by the beach and has several great pools, a lazy river, a waterslide and a saltwater lagoon. The hotel staff was very friendly. The spa was beautiful as well. The hotel may get crowded when the schools are on holidays because the hotel is kid-friendly but the week we were there, it was not too crowded nor too isolated. Just right. My favorite part of the hotel was the Seaview Terrace which is a café/restaurant with a beautiful ocean view and both indoor and outdoor seating. They had live music and a singer almost every night during dinner time. It was very enjoyable and a great experience."

"I have stayed in Kauai many times. This was the best place I’ve stayed. It was within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I also love the fact you could use the gym across the street. I will definitely stay again. Very pleased with the overall complex"

"Beautiful stay, very kind and attentive host. The unit is centrally located in the property, very easy to get to, and very clean. Furniture is functional, but not comfortable. The bed is very firm and probably should be updated. There is no smart tv for those that like to stream (especially with kids), just cable. Laundry in unit is super convenient. Had essentials stocked, although scarce and limited (we ran out of trash bags).Took us a visit to the beach to understand that the beach on the property is Kiahuna Beach and has very rough surf - not suitable for young children. Poipu beach (3 minute drive) is much better, has a playground, restaurants, and is where the turtles are! No easy way to walk through the property to Poipu that we could find. Didnt love the beach towel card system that Castle Resorts had- wasn’t logistically great for us with a toddler. But we would absolutely stay again. The location and the host were great!"

"Awesome 2 bedroom condo right off the beach. It has great swimming pools and work out facilities. The gas grills were key for feeding a family of 5 considering eating out gets really expensive on the island. Just wish for the amount that we spent we would have gotten a full size kitchen. It had a microwave oven. There is no conventional oven and the electric stove only had 2 very weak cooking surfaces. The time share owner condominiums have better amenities. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. The room service was also great. Just wish the valet/bellboys were the same. They did not acknowledge us or help us with our luggage."
