"Wonderful place to stay. We had 2 rooms adjoining, with a gorgeous view of the water. Hosts were so helpful and friendly, both in answering questions before we even got there, as well as being on hand while we were staying. The rooms were lovely and clean, and the small personal touches (breakfast snacks, water in the fridge, chocolates on the pillows) were wonderful. They were also helpful with booking breakfast for us at the pub just down the street. Highly recommend; would happily stay there...

When is the best time to go to Kentallen?
The best time to visit Kentallen is during late spring and summer, particularly from May to September, when the weather is generally mildest and daylight hours are longest.

May and June offer pleasant temperatures and significantly fewer midges, which can be quite prevalent in the height of summer. This period is ideal for outdoor activities like hiking or cycling along the Caledonia Way, as the landscape is lush and green. July and August are the warmest months, making them superb for enjoying water-based activities on Loch Linnhe or taking boat trips to explore the nearby islands. While midges can be more noticeable during these months, especially at dawn and dusk, the extended daylight and warmer conditions make it a great time for families to enjoy the natural beauty and outdoor adventures Kentallen offers.

September brings cooler, crisp air and often stunning autumn colours to the surrounding hills. This month is particularly appealing for couples seeking a more tranquil experience, with fewer crowds and excellent conditions for scenic drives through Glen Coe or leisurely walks.
