"We were looking for an economical place to stay with limited notice and this worked out well. Owners run an efficient service: check in was easy (even for a late evening arrival) and they provide a convenient grab and go breakfast bag. Room was clean and well equipped (mini frig, microwave and small sink). My only complaint is the condition of the shower curtain…they need a better arrangement to avoid mildew/mold. The shower itself was satisfactory. We never did meet staff in person but the owners communicated well via text."

"Definitely a cool place! We would certainly stay there again if we are up in that neck of the woods! The host was really nice and super communicative and helpful! We left a few items there that they brought to our attention and shipped them back to us straight away!"

"We were very pleased with the property. The view of the tall conifers from the second floor porch was magnificant. We were equally thrilled with the trails around the property. Porcupine Cliffs is not to be missed! The house was lovely. We depended on the mini-splits because the Adirondack weather was very rainy and damp that week. The spiral staircase is fun!"

"We had a great time here at the cabin.The cabin was amazing, they had everything you needed. Great location, fire pit, grill, laundry, air conditioning,WiFi, rooms were comfy just to name a few things and the swing was awesome!I would definitely recommend for anyone staying near Lake Placid. -Adam"

"This is our second booking at this house. It is a great place for our church group to unwind after a week of mission construction work. There is room for everyone, and there is something for everyone. If some in our group want to bag a peak, the ADK’s best are just a couple miles away. If others just want to sit relax, the Ausable is literally just out the back door. The hosts always make sure that we are well taken care of, and we are looking forward to our next booking next year!"
