Very comfortable beds! Very roomy. Short drive to Lake Placid. One of best motels we have stayed at. Only complaint, and it's minor, no microwave in the room. Short walk to the office to use theirs.

This is an older property like a lot of the small hotels in this area, so it is dated, but very well maintained, cleaned and has all that you need for an enjoyable stay. The location was fantastic. My only negative comment is the beds were horribly hard and uncomfortable. And unfortunately after long days of hiking you need a comfortable bed to sleep in. But balanced with the price, I would definitely stay here again and just bring a mattress topper with me.

Great ski stay spot

This is a great spot to stay for skiing whiteface. 5 mins to the mountain. The location is stunning a the audible river. Look forward to coming again.

Hungry Trout

Amazing place, Everyone is so helpful, rustic setting , beautiful Scenery, Ausable River is right there if you fly fish. The Hungry Trout Restaurant is excellent and Casey makes suberb martinis!
