Good to Know • Extra Guests: $10/night per person after 6 guests (added automatically). • Cell Service: Spotty due to our location in the mountains. Enable WiFi calling to make and receive calls. • Well Water: Tastes and smells a bit like sulfur but is completely safe and potable. We drink it ourselves, though you’re welcome to bring bottled water. • Checkout: Our cleaners work hard to ensure the property is perfect for each group. Please respect their time by checking out promptly at 10am. • Firewood: Your first fire is on us! Please replace any additional logs used. • Location: We are located in a somewhat remote area. The house is on Route 9N, a scenic state highway, and backs up to miles of protected state parklands. You can see a couple neighboring homes from sides of the house, while the fire pit area out back feels very secluded. We love our location as we can quickly pop into town, but still have privacy. _________________________________________________________________________

Excellent house, perfect location, just secluded enough but not far from local businesses, Whiteface, and Lake Placid. Additional guest cabins were a great bonus. Made for a great family vacation that we would love to do again!
We would recommend this place. We stayed here while taking in Lake Placid. The rooms were very clean. We are planning another another vacation to this property but visit during the summer.
A very nice, quaint, quiet getaway location. Off the main, hustle & bustle areas while close enough to visit when chosen. Beautifully decorated property where everything was thought of!
Cabin was awesome, river and outdoor area even better
The cabin and studio were very clean, had all the necessary amenities, and were very cozy.
The outdoor area with the fire pit is a great hang out spot for a group, and the watering hole by the river was the highlight of our entire trip.
We absolutely loved our stay in Upper Jay! The house was fantastic, surrounded by stunning scenery. The real gems were the hot tub and sauna – such a delightful bonus for our relaxation. Highly recommend this cozy haven for a perfect getaway!
We had a great time here. We especially loved grilling over the open fire pit. The beds were very comfortable, and we loved the design features/decor. The hot tub felt great at the end of the day. The only downside was that the living room/TV area is upstairs but that did encourage more family/friend time downstairs around the large dining table.
Hello owners!
The place was awesome! Love the sauna and the hot tub!
One thing i would like to recommend is to have some lights or reflective indication for the entrance of the place as it is hard to see when it is dark. Overall it us great place to stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Log Cabin! My partner and I previously stayed at their river house and it was magical. We were so excited to return to another Warner’s Camp properly with our friends. The hot tub and sauna were amazing, and the decor was charming! The kitchen is adorable and the little extra cabins are so cool. 10/10, we will definitely be back!
We climbed the peaks, used the hot tub and fully enjoyed the beautiful cabin. This was our 4 year anniversary and i would be lieing if i said i didnt want to stay longer instead of going home❤️
He proposed on top marble mountain ⛰️
This home was beautiful and had everything we need. It was well thought out and comfortable, as well as impeccably clean. We loved being able to get into the cold river, the hot tub, the sauna, and to enjoy the comfortable beds! We will definitely return to this property.
This is a great experience for people that enjoyed the 70s and like country living. Great outdoor area to appreciate all of nature. I can't find one negative thing to say about my stay.
This beautiful cabin near Lake Placid was the absolute best location to host our friend’s Bachelorette trip. The cabin was gorgeous, spacious, clean, and perfect for what we were looking for in a long weekend up in the Adirondacks. Amy was receptive and responsive way before we even checked in and she made the entire rental process even easier!! Amy, we can’t thank you enough for letting us stay in your beautiful home and we can’t wait to come back for another girls trip soon!!
We took weeks looking through places to stay and I'm an so glad we decided on this cabin. There was more than enough room for our group of friends and we felt right at home. They are not joking when they say there is no signal, wifi will really be your only connection to the outside world, but that is exactly what we were looking for. We spent the days hiking and enjoying the sights and the evenings hanging out around the fire pit and relaxing in the sauna/hot tub.
5/5 Would escape to this cabin again.
A group of my friends rented the log cabin for a ski trip up to whiteface. Everything on the listing is accurate and concise. When we arrived the house was very clean and the check in process was super easy. One day while skiing there was a decent sized snow storm that came through and something that impressed me was coming back to a plowed driving and a house that had already been shoved out!
This property has it all. Myself and family really enjoyed our stay. We came upstate for a fishing trip, just the boys. The studio cabin was perfect for the one guy that snores. LOL-private suite for him. We used the hot tub & barrel sauna with garden hose cold showers in between sessions after a long day on the river. Prefect accomodations here at the Warner Camp. We would certainly stay again. A++++
This home was perfect. Super clean! The yard was amazing to hang out in, especially with little children and a dog. It was SO close to Whiteface for skiing and exploring Lake Placid. They had everything we needed in the house and the caretaker was so responsive when we had a quick question. Even with little children, it was so easy to quickly childproof with a door at the bottom of the stairs, etc. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will likely be back!
The Log Cabin was everything promised and more! The cabin was perfectly decorated, well intentioned and stocked to the brim with anything you could ever need while traveling. The kitchen was one of my favorite part. The beds were extremely comfortable, the house smelled so clean! There is even washer and dryer on site. The additional sleeping accommodations in the outside buildings were lovely and perfect as well. This was the perfect place, and we will be back at least once per year. Amy, the host is responsive, accommodating and informative - the ease of booking was incredible. You will not regret booking this gem!
This place was perfect for our ski and snowboard trip to Whiteface. Close to the mountain for us to get in early. We used each room and all my friends were very comfortable. Even the two adult men that had to share the small cabin had no complaints. The sauna and hot tub were perfect for us to recover our exhausted bodies from full day of shredding the mountain. The foosball table was a hit. The large dinner table fit our whole crew. The heated floors were a delightful surprise and perfect for drying our wet gear on over night. We had a ton of snow overnight and we woke up to our driveway plowed!
We stayed at the cabin the last week in October and had beautiful weather for hiking. I was worried about traffic noise since the cabin is close to a fast road but it wasn't a problem. The kitchen could use some wine glasses and dish towels. The fridge needs cleaning out (old condiments take up some of the limited space and the freezer needs defrosting). But star gazing from the hot tub and fire pit make up for any short comings. We had a wonderful time. Thanks
Amy was incredibly responsive leading up to and during our stay. The highlight for all 7 of us was how comfy the beds were, but a close second was feeling like we were on our own spa retreat with the hot tub, sauna, and Lean-To and Studio cabins. All were easy to use, with explicit instructions typed up in an onsite manual. If you're a big cooking / hang in the kitchen group - I'd keep the size at 4-6 folks, as the kitchen / prep area is on the smaller side. We had an easy time as a group that had an infant and a dog (super helpful that there was a pack and play!) And just 7 min down the road by car is a cute home goods store, a library, and a gas station. Everything you need! We would definitely come again :)
We had a really great time at the log cabin. The cabin is close to the road, but it's quiet inside and the outdoor spaces didn't feel exposed to the road at all (in October). The amenities (hot tub, firepit, sauna, quick walk to a private swimming hole) were all enjoyed by us (although we failed to use the table football table!). A minor issue with the place was resolved by the hosts. Beds were pleasant, small out-cabins were also pleasant, and all the policies seemed reasonable (including use of firewood; there are lots of nearby places selling wood if you need more!). I really enjoyed that the space felt a little more thoughtful rather than the bland decor of many listed for rent. Would absolutely stay here again with a group.
