"Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! "We had a wonderful time staying at the river house. The river is beautiful and fun to relax by and play in. The location is perfect.. within easy range of a bunch of great hikes, swimming holes, and Lake Placid. We enjoyed making s’mores and star gazing. We did some cooking and grilling and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!"
