The location was incredible, super peaceful and an amazing view with the large windows right in front of the bed. "We loved our stay at Mt Lofty House. Highly recommend the daily history tour at 4.30pm. All staff were really friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Our room was divine. A tip, the cookies are the best. There’s a jar left out and topped up daily but it’s a bit of a secret. We dined at Martha’s and after a really busy day, loved the easy going nature of this restaurant. We also had the 7 course degustation menu at Hardys Veranda another night. We didn’t enjoy this as much as Martha’s purely as some of the flavours didn’t match in our opinion. It was a very vast menu, a lot of food and sitting down to a 3 hour dinner was a bit after another very busy day. Overall though, we would absolutely come back here. The surrounding gardens were magnificent as was Mt Lofty House in general."

"Found it tricky to check in as reception signs point to disused area. Eventually sortef and shown to big clean room. Bathrooms are great just be aware shower can run into bathroom floor. Our TV did not work but others did. Was warm and cosy from heater. The location to the main Hahndorf street makes up for any issues. Literally 10 meters from an anazing German style restaurant/beer hall."

"the Hotel is more like a motel with separate buildings behind the reception. However, design is modern, almost like a small resort, and great access to parking and to the main street of Hahndorf. The rooms are a good size and the bed is super comfy. One thing I am particular about is a good sized towel and their towels were bug and fluffy.. The rooms have a fridge, sink and tea/coffee which you dont really need given the great coffee in the area. Would totally stay here again"
