Our hale is conveniently located near scenic beaches, popular surf spots and Kailua village for foodies and shopping. With Ali'i Drive nearby you'll have access to all the popular Kona Coast amenities. Make memories with friends or family and book soon as we fill vacancies fast.
The space: The home is uniquely setup with 4 bedrooms with 4 private baths. 3 of the bedrooms have private lanais. Our hale includes ample parking for multiple families making it convenient to come and go. It also features an outside shower and a private lawn area behind the home.
Guest access: Guest have access to the 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, kitchen and ohana room. NO ACCESS IS ALLOWED TO THE LOFTS.
Other things to note Did we say centrally located!! Our Kona Surf House is in a great spot to use as your base of operations to explore all the amenities the Big Island has to offer. National parks, surfing, an active volcano, waterfalls, hiking trails, ATV adventures, Zipline adventures, horseback riding, botanical gardens and endless coastline sightseeing.

It was great for a family of 7. One of our seven was 2 and this house worked out great for him. It was really nice to have 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. There was a nice variety of beach items, bikes and a wagon. The house was well stocked with kitchen items and towels. Great location. We enjoyed our stay.
We were so pleased with our stay here. We travelled with 6 adults and 2 children, and the fact that all 4 bedrooms had their own ensuite bathroom was incredible! Having 3 lanais off each of the main bedrooms was really nice for everyone to have their own space. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and many more items than we have experienced at other Hawaii vacation rentals. It was great to have beach chairs, umbrellas, a couple of bicycles, a little book library, and pantry/condiment staples were a pleasant surprise. Kevin was an excellent communicator before and during our stay. We would definitely happily stay here again! Mahalo!
Location and parking were good. The neighborhood was quiet and there was adequate accommodations for 7 of us. The 3 children slept on one bed because the small room with bunk beds felt claustrophobic.
The house could have been cleaned better (dusty, little black bugs and lizard droppings) and there was a hole in one of the sheets.
Guests are required to wash their dishes upon leaving; in which case there should be a dish washer.
The house got hot in the afternoon, there was just one air conditioning unit.
Nice and quiet neighborhood house. It was nice to have a bathroom for each of the bedrooms. A little out of the way to get to the restaurants of Kona for walking. A big bonus was the proximity to Da Poke Shack. It was easy to get an Uber to the restaurants and shops area. Extremely hot during the day and even into the evening. So hot that you can’t be in the house during the day. The place needed better and stronger fans to help with cooling. The house was fairly clean but could have been a lot better. The bikes were a good idea but two to three of them needed maintenance. The host was very responsive to questions. With some updating, much better fans and deeper cleaning this would have been five stars.
Nice home (wasn't very clean upon entry) in older residential neighborhood whose neighbors are not so neighborly. 1st guest 2 arrive was immediately warned by a neighbor about a "good neighbor policy" & said that her 2 little ones were about 2 go 2 sleep right where we are allowed 2 park, before "quiet hours" of 9 p.m.-8 a.m. When we arrived, our friend immediately told us 2 be quiet because of what she said. I locked the car manually, turned off dryer buzzer, & lots of other things 2 be a "good neighbor" throughout our 2-week stay! Worked through the night; and, by 4 a.m., there was a lot of foot traffic, loud talking, & vehicles up & down the street right in front home. Same neighbor has construction all day. Not a problem as most days we left by 7:30; but, on the days we worked from home, it was not pleasant! A neighbor even parked in front home where we are supposed to park!4th guest arrived while we were @ work. Lockbox wasn't working properly, she struggled 2 get in. Cop arrived & said someone called 2 say she was breaking in! She showed him the paperwork that proved she belonged; he helped her get in.I asked (& paid) for a late check out knowing we'd be home late from Hilo/Volcano. Came home around 1 a.m.; went to sleep @ 3; and by 7:30 a.m., on SUNDAY, neighbors were talking extremely loud right in front bedroom window/door! Wasted money for a late check out as we were ready 2 leave by 10 a.m.The "good neighbor" policy works one way with this location.
