"Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet any of my expectations. I paid $989 for 3 nights. Other than the convenience of everything being close, such as the subway, Times Square, Broadway Theater, Central Park, etc. I experienced harassment by a guy who just walked into the lobby and begged for money again and again. Unfortunately, another one of the problems with this location is that there are no parking lots associated with the hotel so the nearest parking lot is down the block ($67 a night, not to mention) but the biggest problem is that you can’t turn left, which is where the hotel is at, so my boyfriend went to go get the car while I waited in the lobby with all of our suitcases. What is about a three minute walk turned into a 20 minute drive for him. During that time, the guy was constantly insisting I give him money and asking how long until my boyfriend got back. He sat by me and interrogated me. Sadly it took about 15 minutes before a worker/guard came and told him to leave. The hotel had a D rating, no trash bag inside the bathroom or room, the doors to our rooms were covered in grime/unknown white stains, bad smell down the hall, dirty floors. We were on the 8th floor and couldn’t sleep all night due to the loud noise outside and construction in the morning. Tiny room with no space for our suitcases. Not at all like the photos on their website. Maybe it once used to be all that. Only stayed 2 nights, couldn’t do it another night. Waste of money!"

"Everything was great except for the elevators. Little wait time especially when people are checking in can get crowded but other then that was great"

"One thing that would have been extremely helpful before the trip is there is a parking garage right around the corner and if you go there the hotel will stamp your ticket so you get money off. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff were friendly. "

"I wish I had checked out a map of EWR airport as I waited at the wrong spot for pick-up. The text from the hotel said to wait at P3 so when I went out from terminal A there was a sign "3" and I waited incorrectly there. From terminal A, one needs to take a shuttle to the air train to P3 building for the hotel shuttle pick up. Also, in the morning there is no sign up to reserve a spot for the shuttle to return to airport, so I went down way early to be sure I got a place on the shuttle. The staff except for one were helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and clean."

"I have stayed at the Arlo Midtown several times and it never disappoints. Located just a few blocks from Penn Station makes this the perfect home base for a few days in NYC. The breakfast in the restaurant was a nice add from my last stay here. My only complaint would be the slamming room doors, otherwise a perfect stay!"

"I would normally avoid hotels with shared bathrooms, however with the price of hotels in Manhattan as they are, I thought I'd give it a go for 1 night. I had visions of a 1940s B&B in Blackpool! This hotel is actually well presented. Clean and brightly decorated corridors. The rooms are small but functional. Plenty of space for a short stay, desk, wardrobe area, comfy bed, shel space and sink. The shared bathroom is clean but I guess that largely depends on who you're sharing it with. There are multiple bathrooms on each floor, so if someone is holding you up, there ought to be others to use. Don't forget your room key! I imagine this hotel has seen more than its fair share of guests stood at the front desk with a towel wrapped around them!! The note is well located in the city for shops, restaurants, theatre and train stations. I would probably stay again but only flor 2 mights max."

"Over crowded and tight parking spots , then you charge your customers an outrageous rate for parking daily, which no one staying at the Hotel should pay at all , everything looked outdated "

"one of the women at your front desk needs an attitude adjustment, she was rude to me and my team. When their ac wouldn't shut off she gave them a time limit on them moving rooms? she wouldn't move them if they took over ten minutes... i think she's in the wrong business because she surely is not hospitable. none of our tvs worked in any of our 3 rooms! "
