"We had the most incredible honeymoon at Maria Del Mar! Our concierge Santiago helped us to create an amazing itinerary and adapted for us as we made changes! They also recommended a wonderful taxi driver, Armando, who graciously took us to each excursion and offered expert advice to help us enjoy as much as possible :) Edgar, Enrique, and Sergio at the front desk were always ready to chat and help if needed. "Like everything in Tulum this place is pretty pricey. The staff are great, the rooms are nothing fancy and the drinks are very expensive -- $20+ CAD for a Margarita is just weird. Location is terrific right by the ocean but be sure to focus meal budget in town where the meals are far more reasonable than along this strip. Best to have access to a car as there isn't much to do here besides enjoy the beautiful views and take in the beach air. "

"Loved the rustic look of the rooms with all the creature comforts included (AC, mini fridge, hot water, etc.). The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the food was great, both in the hotel and in nearby restaurants. There are convenience stores, pharmacies, ATMs and currency exchange offices within walking distance. We had a lovely stay, very unfortunate that the sargassum kept us from the beach, but that's not the hotel's fault."
