Nice hotel with great staff!

We were made very welcome at this lovely hotel. The staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful, taking time to show us on a map the best places to visit, recommend restaurants and even teach us to play backgammon! The location is perfect for all major attractions in the old city - walking distance from everything. The room was well presented and clean, with toiletries provided, but our only criticism was that towels were not changed during our 5 day stay. Otherwise than this small detail we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly.

Very nice trip in the heart of Sultanahmet area

Beautiful hotel! Room was very clean, big, luxury with a wonderfull view (sea view!). The staff was amazing and super friendly with a great atmosphere. My mother and I stayed there for 4 nights and it was very very nice!!! The location is perfect for visiting Sultanahmet area with the Blue Mosquee, Aya Sofia and Topkapi Palace (5 to 10 minutes by walk!). The team could not have been more helpful or done anymore for us. Highly recommend it, we would totally stay here again!

Nice boutique hotel, but be aware

I went with my family. The room was super comfortable and the service was good. It is one of the best boutique hotels in Istanbul sultanahmet area. Walking distance from Topkapi palace, Sophia Hagia and Aya Sophia. The breakfast provided was also the standard Turkish breakfast with olives, salami, breads, juices etc. On day 1, there was some repair work and we were asked to adjust and accommodate into a nearby hotel for 1 night. The alternate accommodation provided was a hostel with room rate less than half of the room rent I booked for with no TV, no water in the room. We felt scammed on that part as we paid full to Sublime Porte.

We loved our stay at Sublime Porte. Perfect location near several main sights, but tucked away just far enough from the busy streets to remain quiet and peaceful. The hotel is very new and clean, and the staff were all pleasant and extremely helpful, and would totally stay here again!

Ett litet mysigt hotell som ligger i ett lugnt område nära till Hagia Sofia, Blå Mosken och Topkapi palatset. Gångavstånd till Grand Bazaar och många mysiga restauranger. Hotellrummet var stort och fräscht. På många hotell vi har bott på har det varit uselt vattentryck i duschen. Det är det inte här. Allt var jättebra! Frukosten var jättegod och riklig. Redan vid första mötet märkte vi av den fina servicen. Det är den bästa servicen vi upplevt. Det finns inte många som tar hand om sina gäster så som personalen på Sublime Porte gör. Otroligt trevliga och hjälpsamma! Man känner sig som en i familjen och det var jättetråkigt att åka därifrån. Vi kommer absolut att komma tillbaka hit och rekommenderar alla er andra till att boka detta mysiga hotell. //David och Clara

Calm and peaceful venue in a huge city

The Sublime Porte Hotel was a lovely refuge, away from the crazy bustle of Istanbul. Sitting in the small garden for breakfast was a pleasure. The room was pleasantly decorated in contrast to many old fashioned and kitsch decor one finds in Turkey. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and assisted with all our needs. On the negative side, there was an issue with water leaking onto the bathroom floor. Despite being cleaned every day there was a puddle that I sometimes had to jump over. Hopefully this can be sorted out. Also, another issue was that the blinds when closed are not entirely private when closed on the lower floors as there are no curtains. This would be easy to remedy by pasting a paper or net screen on the back of the shutter so I'm not certain why this hasn't been done. But still, a pleasant stay.

To my little low rating - the hotel has perfect location, the room was overall clean and the breakfast was also ok. I have few but - bed sheets had several one-inch holes in them, there was no cleaning of the room for 4 days, listed was fridge and chair but not there. That is why I rated just good. My wife had some digestion issues and the staff (having small baby at home) didn't help at all. There were issues with internet, also his only suggestion was we had both problem with our phones (iphone and samsung S)... so I would stay here but would not hesitate to stay elsewhere.

A little gem

Small and friendly, very close to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace but just off the main track meaning it is quiet. Rooms clean and well decorated: could have done with extra pillows and a choice of hard/soft but to be fair it was a minor issue and we forgot to ask! Staff so friendly and helpful. Will stay here again

Great Little Hotel in Istanbul's Old City Center

This is my second stay at the Sublime Porte and the hotel has maintained its wonderful atmosphere. I feel as if I am visiting friends here. The room is clean and comfortable and everyone is friendly.

Nettes Hotel in sehr guter Lage

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Hagia Sophia, zum Topkapi-Palast und zur Blauen Moschee, also perfekt, um in wenigen Minuten zu diesen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu gelangen, Das Hotel ist sehr komfortabel und ansprechend eingerichtet und bietet alles, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Perfect hotel for a city trip

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. Very quiet environment but only 5 mins walk away from Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. Perfect bed, fresh and good breakfast and the stuff fufilled nearly every wish of the guests if it was possible.

Ubicación muy tranquila en el corazón de Estambul junto al Palacio Tokkapi. Zona de restaurantes muy cercana. Trato agradable y familiar. El desayuno a la turca no es lo mas recomendable sobre todo para el invierno. La limpieza correcta pero mejorable. La habitación justo debajo de la recepción es un poco incómoda.

Nice hotel, but some issues..

This hotel is good for couple of days stay, for one night, a bit too remote from the public transport. The area is very nice and calm, though quite "touristy". Rooms are beautiful and clean, but the bed was not that comfortable (a bit hard). Personnel is nice. There was some noice at night (fireworks probably), which annoyed a bit, but of course this is not hotel's fault. Some of the areas are also still under construction.

Nieuw hotelletje in oude centrum

Klein hotelletje met 6 ruime kamers, net helemaal gerenoveerd met een luxe trendy uitstraling. Bovenste verdieping heeft een super uitzicht over de Bosporus. Emre is een geweldige gastvrije hoteleigenaar die perfect Engels spreekt en alle ins en outs van Istanbul kan vertellen. Lokatie is super, alle grote bezienswaardigheden om de hoek en dicht bij leuke restaurantjes en café,s. Een echte aanrader!!

Hôtel très bien situé et au calme comparativement aux autres hôtels du secteur situés sur une rue bruyante. Le personnel est charmant. Le seul bémol Pendant notre séjour de 4 nuits et 3jours, La chambre n a pas du tout était nettoyee, Les serviettes pas changées. Je trouve cela regrettable pour un hôtel de bon standing.
