Really poor hotel in a very good spot. Close to everything. Too bad it is run down and poorly managed. Parking is a nightmare - if you're lucky you might find a spot behind the hotel but do not count on it. Breakfast was the worst we had in 2 weeks of staying in a dozen different hotels all over the country. The price was cheap, about $80 per night, but the conditions were barely above hostel level.

Wonderful location!! The blue mosque and Hagia Sophia are both a stones throw away!! Grand bazaar is about a 20 minute walk which is not too bad if you like to walk! (It is a bit of a hill). Train stations are also within 5 minute walk as well! They are fairly clean! Their housekeepers cleaned our room really well!! And the A/C is strong and cold for after the long days! Wifi is good, signal isn’t great, so it’s not good for people that need to work while vacationing. (It might depend on which room you get, we were on the 1st floor). The breakfast wasn’t too bad, very basic breakfast but it is filling!! And the view cannot be beat! One of the down side is that the cigarette smell permeates into the room intensely and it lingers sometimes. Nothing we could have done unfortunately because opening the window would make it worse. We didn’t think of complaining because it would go away at times. Growing up, my dad and sister are highly asthmatic (they weren’t with us) so I also grew up being sensitive to it as well so I could really notice them. If this is like you, this may not be a hotel for you. The room we book was a non smoking room but it didn’t matter. In saying all of that, I do still recommend this hotel simply for its location!!!

This is a great place to stay. Howover, if you book in advance and are given a price in dollars and euro, make sure they charge you in dollars as the euro vs dollard amont may vary based on the exchange rate. I was given $342 for three nights but the amountcame to $350.amount may vary

The location was great. The rooms were awesome. The views were spectacular and the service was just the best. Onar the owner runs a fabulous hotel. He and the staff were superb. I cannot express how happy and lucky were were to have chosen a hotel with the best views and best staff anywhere. Just wake up look out your cave window or balcony and watch the air balloons the sunrise and the sunset. If you choose this hotel I promise you won’t have hotel envy you will be the envy. Many people walk by below us and took pictures of our hotel. A perfect stay and a GREAT authentic cave hotel. Room 9 has a great extra balcony with day bed tucked privately away in your own little cave with the BEST views. Thank , for such a lovely stay.

I very much enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel Saba. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially because I had booked the wrong dates, and arrived a day early according to the reservation. I was not put out onto the streets and for that I will be forever grateful. The room was very comfortable, and I had a lovely view of the blue mosque and the sea, and the breakfast is really fantastic because it’s on the terrace which again has a lovely view. It’s also in the heart of the Sultanahmet, which is where you want to be as a visitor. On my next trip to Istanbul, I will most definitely be staying here.
