"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "
"This place was awesome, excellent service, you feel the tradition in the place.
Breakfast was delicious, the tea ceremony was amazing.
The Onsen and the room were cozy and we left rested and renovated"
"The room was huge, brand new and beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service sets apart the Kamo from other hotels. The staff repeatedly went beyond expectations."

You will have the best rest sleeping on those futon in this quiet neighborhood. 7-11, Daiso, coin laundry and buses to major attractions are all within 5min of walk. "

One of the highlights is that it’s also close to the Imperial Palace, which made exploring the area even more convenient.
The only downside is that the rooms really need renovation. The hotel itself is incredible, but the rooms haven’t been updated in decades, which takes away a bit from...
