"This stay blew my expectations away! It was a great location between the train station and all of the things to do and see in Interlaken. The staff were so helpful, and all of the little details made it a wonderful place to stay."

Nestled between Lakes Thun and Brienz, this adventure paradise offers paragliding, canyoning and hiking with jaw-dropping Alpine views. Take the cogwheel train up to Jungfraujoch's 'Top of Europe' observation deck, then explore charming Swiss villages with wooden chalets.
Interlaken is a great base to day trip to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen, 20-25 min on the train. With Swiss Travel Pass boat trips along Thunsee and Brienzsee are included. We took 3 hr round trip on each of the lakes...next time I would hop off/on.

If you plane on paragliding book ahead. I waited and unfortunately wasn't able to do it. I know it was the busy season, which was my fault! Enjoy all the hiking and views. It's absolutely spectacular.

Main street is quite touristy, but area around the river and old town were relatively quiet and worth a visit. Would recommend researching how the location of the hotel relates to the two stations but nothing a 20min walk won't resolve. Nice place!

Just the right-size city: small enough not to feel crowded but large enough to find plenty of food and coffee shops.

Very busy during the high season. We were glad to be staying outside of the shopping area, still within walking distance to every thing (5-10minute walk). Excellent Hungarian restaurant right around the corner from the hotel!

Interlaken was a very enjoyable city with a great vibe and interesting places to see as well as places to dine.
"I’m very impressed and satisfied with my stay . The hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the train station. The decorations and design is so vintage and I remembered some of the old pots and pans and iron displayed all over the lobby . The front desk staff were helpful and always smiling . The room was so cozy and clean . I had the beautiful view of the mountain and water . The breakfast buffet was awesome and delicious ! The servers were all accommodating , friendly , smiling , courteous. Shout out to Ludwig! He was so nice and went above and beyond . The hotel gave me champagne and cake for my birthday . The Cheese Fondue was so delicious . I also ate the Veal for dinner and it so tender and tasty . I will highly recommend this hotel .See you again Carlton Europe !"
"We booked the Queen Deluxe rooms on the 7th to 14th floor. Our jaws literally dropped as we entered and saw the incredible view of the Jungfrau from our balcony. It was breathe taking.
The room was very spacious, recently updated, modern, and clean. We found the beds to be comfy. There’s no AC here, but a tower fan was provided and we stayed comfortable with that and leaving the sliding door open to catch the mountain breeze. (Mid July) The balcony is completely private - enjoy the views of the distant mountains and the green space below. Location is central and the upper floors take advantage of being one of the only high rise buildings in Interlaken. Elevators require room keys to use which added extra safety for such a busy city. (Although we never felt unsafe anywhere in Interlaken). There’s a lounge with a tap for filling water bottles and a machine for coffee and tea.
The desk staff were incredibly friendly. We stored our luggage prior to check in, they brought our bags up after check in, and at check out they gave us bottled waters.
Honestly, my only negative experience here was that the coffee from the lounge machine was not good. "
