"This hotel was ideal for my 2 night stay in Penrith. The room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and robes/slippers available for the pool and/or spa. Pool and gym opening hours were good and the gym is well equipped. Staff in all areas were helpful and friendly. The restaurant menu offered a varied selection and I ate there on both evenings. The atmosphere overall was relaxing. It was an ideal place to stay for my first visit to Penrith and I'd be happy to stay again. "

"Our four poster king room was fabulous- spotlessly clean with lovely touches such as a bowl of fruit and fresh milk. Breakfast was well cooked and hearty. Hazel was a thoughtful and genuinely friendly host. I would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely B&B."

"Before going I spoke to the owner twice and she was very nice and answered all my questions. The Wheat Shed was so much nicer than the pictures, spacious rooms and spotlessly clean, perfect for our family get together. We wanted to chill out for the weekend and didn't leave the property, making the most of the hot tub. Can't recommend highly enough, thank you and will certainly go again."

"Lovely cottage with all the amenities that we required. Situated in a quiet village within close proximity of Penrith. Nice welcome box with tea, coffee etc and even treats for the dog. Good offroad parking at the back of the cottage and an enclosed front garden. Stayed for a week, excellent location for exploring Hadrians wall, lake district and yorkshire dales. "

"Chose the cottage as we needed to be near Skelton and proved to be the perfect spot for us. Excellent base to roam from and to explore the less touristy parts of Cumbria. The cottage itself was well equipped with the host on hand should they be needed but we didn’t experience any issues during our stay."

"We stayed for 3 nights in the carriage house. It was spotlessly clean and had everything that was needed for our stay. Having a Downstairs bedroom and ensuite was good as one of our party had mobility issues. Hot tub fab. Will definitely be recommending Carriage House to friends"
