"The whole place oozes character befitting its five hundred plus years of heritage. The staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about the building and the area. The food is excellent and the bar area is properly traditional, down to the fireplace."

"Nice big room. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Had our little dog with us and although a LOT of dog rules, she was allowed in most places. We only had continental breakfast which wss adequate. Full breakfast looked generous. We ate one night at the restaurant which was good. Sadly the view not idea with temporary kitchens that look lile they will be there a while."
