The hotel is a little run down in places but it has a relaxed atmosphere and never felt busy. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and there was a great selection of food. We did have to wait for food to be replenished which was a bit disappointing."

"One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in, in Southampton. Very smart comfortable room, bed and bathroom. If I had to fault it at all, it would be the 6 capacity lifts that quite often won’t take more than 3 reasonable sized people. And one of those lifts not servicing the ground floor. "

"The bar staff need some serious training, terrible service on Saturday evening , staff looked like university students clueless and zero customer service The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"
